You can get the pack here! Please note that not all of them are my work, Dixie contributed a lot of these and some are from Fremen.

If you need explanation for any of these let me know

. Almost all of these are historic designs except the Hood CV conversion, the Suruga and the CC-4 to CV conversion (Ranger?).
Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks. I wasn't entirely happy with the turnout of the first Malta so here is a second. I think this one will blend in a little better with other art which has been made for the game.

Finally Lake Erie. This should wrap up your requests R8J. If anyone has any other ship art requests I'll be happy to try to make them.

While I like this ship and there is a very nice painting of her from Wayne Scarpaci this design would have made an utterly inefficient carrier, so I'd strongly suggest against such a conversion to be included in your game unless one is really desperate to got as many CVs as possible (and in light of the Essex and Independence programs it's very unlikely as these ships won't be ready any sooner than those).

Hi csatahajos, I'm just fulfilling R8J's request. I don't have any plans of using Lake Erie in my mod.

If you are offering. There are some UK carriers I'd like to see: an Audacious class carrier (HMS Eagle) and a Centaur class carrier (HMS Hermes) as they would have been produced had the end of the war not delayed their production.
The original HMS Ark Royal and HMS Eagle might be a good ones to add to a 1941 scenario as well.
I've produced my own versions but they look a little out of place with the other standardised artwork.

If you will provide me with drawings I will do them. The HMS Ark Royal has been done. I made a version a couple years ago.

Here you go mate, nice and big as well [:D] These should be their appearnaces as launched in the early 50s. It shouldn't take too much to change things back to how they could have looked in the mid 40s.

I hope you don't mind just standardized gray. I can't do dazzle paint jobs. [X(] The drawing will still help a lot regardless. If you have a WW II era drawing of Hermes fine but I can also work off the drawing provided by Dixie.

Oh dear. You may be suffering from a misconception. Standard gray does NOT mean hue=0. It only means a uniform color scheme. It can be (and is) US Navy gray, Brit gray, Japan gray, Dutch gray, and that means grayish, blueish, greenish, brownish, whatever the specs are for nominal national colors. Only the final vectors are important.
There’s so much color in a “standard gray” ship that a 24-bit save is required. Please, please, please, don’t think you have to make them hue = 0, you don’t. Just as an example, here's 2 CVEs, substantially identical, but one's US and one's Brit. Hopefully you can see the color differential thru the jpg.

No oops necessary. Maybe we weren’t totally clear. Standard has meaning only in the context of Matrix art.
Years ago, when AE was a gleam in someone’s eye, Matrix saw a gazillion pieces of ship art (CHS), with some lighter, some darker, some just an internet shrink, and the combat screens looked like doo doo. So Matrix requested a “standard” set of all the ship art. All that means is that the ships themselves, have a uniform color vector, and that the backgrounds have a uniform color vector, and the ships play together when presented either on the ship screen, or on the combat screen.
It gets technical, but if you are using paint.net or some other program that gets you good values, you won’t have any problems. If you want, I have a panel of backgrounds – sea and sky set to ‘standard’ hues and vectors – that I can send you.
Not to worry, you can make your Jap ships the same brown and green hues that Fremen does without didling with the specs. So long as ya use the same scale factors, it’s ‘standard’. Recall the Queen Mary with her red funnels, whitish topsides and 'standard' gray or black hull. There's a ship with an azure hull and buff colored stacks, in-game, that fits the profile. Color is everything, but vector is dispositive.
Ciao. John
