Awards:

Reggie Jackson (Billings Yellowstones) won the AL MVP. Reggie batted .276, with 25 HR and 80 RBI.

Jim Palmer (Billings) won the AL Cy Young Award. He went 19-10 with a 2.54 ERA.

Hank Aaron (High Point Coltranes) won the NL MVP, batting .274 with 37 HR and 107 RBI.

Orel Hershiser (Lowell Moxies) won the NL CY Young. He went 17-6 with an MLB-leading 1.62 ERA. Hershiser suffered an injured ankle during his last regular season start and missed the postseason.

I decided to make each team have an equal number of players on the roster (43). After retirements, I randomly imported and assigned players who had appeared in postseason games from 1969-2008. Many of the "rookies" went straight to the minors, but a few stuck. I changed the assn setup to use the modern closer. Here are the standings after two months:
