Anyway, we probably don't need to know new curses.

On the other hand, I don't see extreme differences between a Mugger and a Blue Dragon. They are both short range titans and are both able to do a lot of damage.
But maybe the Mugger reminds Hetzer of some bad incidents...
The correct meaning of Bleep is '*@$#&*'

Hetzer, I've just two things to say: To avoid waiting for one another let's just fix at least one day and hour. And then, will you please 'forget' to use the word 'Herr' when talking to me ? Otherwise I might have to use some special equipment next time, think of garlic, holy water or a wooden plug. :D

Peztor,
the standard 'solution' to this energy shortage is that what you've seen: to switch off the ECM.
You will certainly agree that it's more important to keep the shield powered, although it could have easily got overloaded by a lucky plasma hit.

Based on the standard Exhuminator design specs I would suppose that you can be lucky you didn't drive this titan through a hell arena. With its low-end heat reg you'd have had some great problems even when running. ;)

One more for the Mugger

After searching for the right battle setup a couple of times, we ended up fighting a duel with me on a Mugger and Hetzer on a similar refit of this design.
Don't want to give every detail, but after plotting the right path around and behind some cover (and taking some unintended breathers on the ground) I managed to get within favorable weapons range. Luckily my hits went several times at the same location, so the first part to be taken apart was his right arm and thus removing one of the fearful AC20s. :)
The game was over when the next limb was severed. As I said before, luck was on my side this time, because on my titan too the 'bombardment' had taken it's toll and not only one location was down to less than 20 structural APs.

With this being my first duel after a long break, I don't know if the rule of series already applies. But I don't like forecasts anyway, so we'll see what happens ...

Fortunately my Crumbler (3 HMs/2LMs/2LL) was able to defeat Bernd's Howler (2CLGs/2TBs/2LLs) mostly because his CT caved in before he finished kicking me to death :) Another triumph of luck over skill. Base rumors to the effect that I should have put in more time designing the Howler are a complete fabrication and have absoulutely nothing to do with the 3 refits that the Howler has since undergone.

You guys are thinking waaaaaay toooooo much :(

My WidowMaker (3Plasmas/4Pulse) beat Peztors Thug (3AC12/2LL) in a game lasting 2078 seconds (wipes sweat from brow).

This following a three hour loss and a 2 1/2 hour win in games with Bernd.

Am poor, feeble Drain Bamaged old person who cannot stand the strain (totters off to bed for afternoon nap)

brain damaged my ***

if you're so brain damaged then how come you come up with all those nasty designs (the mugger comes to mind)? and the cruel strategies that seem to work so often (just not when i'm around)?
*g*

hey point that monster somewhere else, i'm too young to die, i don't know nothin, i didn't mean it...
and if you want another beating you'll have to wait until the GP's over. and no gaurentees then either.

Cruel? Moi? You've wounded me to the core of my being :(

Anyway I prefer to think of my tactics as being......um........er........cost effective, that's it cost effective :)

So why don't you use the timeout option? :)
That's what it is there for, after someone started taking way too long to make his moves...

Managed somehow to come out ahead in a tiny team game with Karacan. He had 3 recons and a light to my recon and heavy. 2876 second game (I hate it when people are too smart, tough, stubborn and sneaky roll over and die like they're supposed to). Let this be a warning to the rest of you I think that Karacan is going to be more dangerous than Lyhrrus (shudder). (polar)
My Mugger2 driven by Silencer lost to the Behemoth that I was stuck with (laughs and cries simultaneously).(normal)
My Avatar (stock) beat Peter Y's BallBreaker (5lrm6s/2plasma) in the dungeon.

Bernd has been very nice about test driving my more badly designed Titans and letting me know (in great detail and at high volume) his opinion of them :) In this case my Crumbler beat his Extortionist (a design that is, sadly, no more). As a consolation prize he got to name it's replacement so if you see him driving a LegBreaker I would advise you to duck :)

As matrix was down this weekend I will post the latest rankings sometime tonight.
