Now here's a lego model of a "Real Battleship". [8D]

Well the mean, moody, pugnacious thugs that were the South Dakota-class were certainly my favourite US battleship class [&o], but I think by any measure whatsoever - looks, history, battle honours - you'd struggle to find any more of a "real battleship" than HMS Warspite...when built, her elegant and graceful looks belied the fact that she was harder than a pitbull on steroids. Then as her first flush of girlish youth gave way to reveal a beautiful, proud woman, she became even more intoxicating (in a "classy lady who's been around the block and knows a few things (if you know what I mean)" kind of way). Despite the best efforts of the Kaiser's navy, the Kriegsmarine, the Luftwaffe, the Regia Aeronautica and the Regia Marina she grew into the Grand Old Lady, bedecked with battle honour upon battle honour and ended her life after having given her all for her country [&o]

HMS Warspite motto: "I despise the hardships of war"
and
"The art of being a woman, is knowing when not to be too much of a lady..."
