Hehe omg super CL pwned all DD.

Unlikely in AE. The Brooklyn class CLs had about 50% more firepower than the New Orleans CAs, but only against lightly armoured targets. Against a DD TF like that, the target-rich environment would have saturated their two main directors. The reason Brooklyns do so well in stock seems to be that the game engine doesn't model how targets are actually engaged, but instead seems to treat all guns as firing at full ROF while targeting individual Japanese warships under local control. The number of hits reported on the Japanese ships is several times what would be expected under the best of circumstances. (Sorry, JWE...)

Of course I've also seen personally Boise stroll into the middle of a carrier force, get fired on by Ryujo (I was sweating bullets) and sink without so much as landing a single hit (my two CAs put 2 Type 93s into Boise in very short order). I think the RNG (Random Number Generator) has quite a bit to do with outcomes as well. You get a bad roll, bad things happen, you get a good roll...etc.

Yes I Know it was My Boise that Shark7 sunk, didn't get a shot off. Didn't spot any Japanese ships I'm positive, when the action started I thought I had Ryujo dead-to-rights. [:@]

Edit: I suppose you could call me Boise Bane.

I suspect there is an wacky hardcode for Boise. Maybe some family member of some coder was from her crew and he put an hidden routine. [:D]
Yes. There were two database errors and a code level slot typo that affected Boise (sorry herwin). These were found and corrected in AE, maybe the WiTP patch will incorporate them.

But I'm damned if I can see the errors in the stock database. Unlike my Yamatos, which currently sport two rear-facing 6" turrets, but none on the starboard side (that must do wonders for their trim).

You ain't seen nothing yet. This little action a few days ago made me very sad...

Ise sunk the next day and neither of the heavily damaged destroyers saw home again.

(In all fairness though Ise had already taken a torp in an earlier action, and took another one from air attack on the way home)

So the Bosie + huge number of PT boats = deathstar on the high seas [:)]

Probably... Stick an AO in the centre of the mix, too...

Give the crew a second CMOH!

Uhhhhh...............Call me a stickler if you must...it is just MOH, thank you.......
OK, you're a stickler.

Geesh, can't you get into the fun of it.

Any two-bit moron known that the "Congressional" part of the unofficial title isn't really there. But, it's also colloquialy known as the CMH among lots of military folks. (Type in CMH in Google and see what you get.)

I was trying to have a little fun. You ought to try it now and then.
