Weather will shut down CAP in WitP. I have seen many many raids come in when weather shut down a base and the attackers still flew.
that´s when I say that we both have different versions WITP. Probably the US and European one...
in a couple of thousand turns I´ve never seen this and I have seen it hundreds of times that one side attacked the other side´s base that was clouded and the Cap flew just fine. I have seen Cap not flying though and go with what Mogami said several times: "If you have set your Cap and it doesn´t fly, then it´s a bug. Rerun the turn and everything is fine."
An US and an European version of WitP [X(][X(][X(] I have never thought about it.
Anyway, as i must confirm what Castor troy said, perhaps is it the case [&:]
What is strange is that i have already had game against US people (spence and bill) and there were no trouble between our 2 possible versions.

oh you can believe me, if a base of mine would be attacked and my Cap would not engage I can asure you I would go nuts (and immedietely thinking about what Mogami said of not flying Cap). Not to even think about that happening during an attack on my CVs. No matter how much action during a turn is, I always watch the replay and also take a look at the report. If that would happen in my PBEMs, I would notice it.
And I also mention it in my AAR when my base is sucked in, the enemy comes to bomb me and my strike didn´t launch. Would also my Cap not engage, boy that would mean Castor screaming...
