Question for you mod-masters...
Is it possible to create hi-res infantry?
Prince E, I don't know what you mean.
Like there are vehicle close up [normal] versions and "LOD" [far] versions of a file?
I didn't see anything in those INF folders that leads to that. I believe LOD is a code switch [in the exe] that calls up the LOD file (in the folder) at a certain zoom out range.
The INF gets smaller as one zooms out. But I don't
see it calling for lower bit textures or anything like that.

Hi Ben.
Glad you like it.
I'm glad it will be added to the patch.
What about my 221 recon? That was from a stock XML after all.

PoE
The engine allows one to create models with as many polys and at whatever res for textures you desire, at the cost of processing speed and video memory respectively.
The current poly / res settings represent good performance over a wide range of hardware.

A noticeable characteristic of PzC infantry figures has always been the angularity of what ought to be rounded helmets.
I was just wondering if this could be alleviated somewhat with additional polygons. [:)]
If I sound greedy in this regard, it's likely because my video card has 1GB of memory and scores 60,000+ in 3DMark2003.

The 'German HMG_Summer' model is not right in the above INF pack.
