RE: AI teleports ships

I've seen some really strange things happen when a replenishment TF is ordered to meet a CVTF that has a track passing it and approaching an enemy base--like the replenishment TF stays about 4 hexes in front of the CVTF, fails to refuel it, and arrives at the enemy base about the same time the CVTF is launching its strikes. This happened in the Aleutians scenario in late May, when I was playing the Japanese against the AI.
Another weird thing happen when I positioned a SAG to cover both Attu and Kiska. The AI invasion fleet would approach Attu, I would move to cover the island, the invasion fleet would flee, and I would return to my cover position, over and over again. I sent the CVTF in and the invasion fleet now fled to the west, and began hanging around to the south of Attu. It stayed there until the CVTF headed back to the Japanese main base, and then returned to Adak.
