If you want bombers so ugly they're pretty, look between the wars (especially French & some British).

I've always been partial to the B-25H

i like the B-29. its simply huge, damnd fast and has a good and clear line management.

For the fans of the B25. I took this shot at an Aviation Nation air show at Nellis AFB about 4 years ago. They still have some of these old birds flying.

If it had made it into production as a bomber the Lockheed XB-30 would have been the sweetest of them all. All the military design work put into it by Lockheed allowed it to become the "Constellation" and the Aircraft of TWA and other major airlines and remained in service till late 70s as the super Connie. But alas it never became a bomber so it won't count here.[&:]

Mosy, and then the B-17. Each has its high points.
 

I will have to go with the Mosquito as well. 

How about this one...Yokosuka P1Y Kyokkou Aurora - "Frances"

B-17 is my most favorite to look at. 

I also like the Do-217s, the E,K,Ms

not the best of WWII, maybe the better of the Luftwaffe's Medium..er reliable bombers.
