Hi Fletcher, How did you get so many torpedo hits at pearl.  What were your altitude settings, did you still hit the airfield?

No Air CAP over enemy skies !.  51 B5N2 attack with torpedoes (from a total of 144 B5N2 Kate). It was the historical first turn.
the combat reports talks :
Repair Shipyard hits 4
Airbase hits 52
Airbase supply hits 2
Runway hits 163
But I have not any point for strategic bombing (PH counts), probably FOW.

when you hit the port there is a little probability to hit repair shipyard also: so i don't think is only fow

Today, Dec 8th 1941, we receive an disaster message from AO Shiriya off Midway Island. The message was cut and only can receive "We have been attacked by enemy submarine off Midway when heading North. Portrait of the Emperor rescued at boat...". Contact lost.
For the other hand, we are heading NW to meeting with replenishment TF and refuell DDs.

Today we have been reported that PB Kohuku Maru engage enemy AM Penguin running fast from Guam USN Naval Station. LCDR Kawamine break off contact with the enemy without any shot. I confirm my decision to ask a martial court for cowardice in the face of enemy.

Today, the main body of Cover Force have bombardment enemy positions at Kota Bahru (8th Indian Brigade and FMSV Brigade) to support IJA forces in the area. We have bombardment enemy facilities and supply dumps. Tomorrow morning we will follow with the task and then we will heading to Camranh Bay, ETA Dec 11th.

SUBJECT: Air operations over Phillipine Islands.
DATE: Dec 8th, 1941. 19:30Z.

Today, several waves of combined IJN/IJA aircraft have bombed the enemy facilities at Clark Field.

1st Wave : 25 A62M2 and 28 G3M2 meet a enemy CAP with 32 Fighters. We lots 3 A62M and 6 G3M2. The confirmed enemy losses are 1 P-26 and 3 P-40 at Air to Air and 1 O-47 recon aircraft at ground.
2nd Wave: 43 A6M2 Zero and 7 G3M2 meet a enemy CAP with 13 fighters. We lost 1 G3M2 and 1 enemy P-40 was downed by our fighters.
3rd Wave (Combined): 6 A6M2 Zero and 21 Ki-21 Sally meet a enemy CAP with 2 P-40. We lost 1 Zero in air to air action.

We expect get air superiority over Luzon this week. Awaiting orders to transfer 5th Air Division (IJA) HQ to Luzon.

SUBJECT: Attack at enemy shipping lanes.
DATE: Dec 8th, 1941. 21:00Z

Today, we proceed Southwest to assigned patrol zone and meet an enemy Task Group with a tanker (TK Gertrude Kellog), an auxiliar ship (AS Canopus) and one destroyer (DD Pillsbury). We get a good position to attack and I launched 4 torpedoes to AS Canopus, we get 2 hits and the enemy ship was on fire and heavy damage, listing, PROBABLY SUNK. We must to crash dive when enemy destroyer begin to pin us. We will try to shadow enemy TK to try another victory.

SUBJEC: Air attacks over enemy shipping off Hong Kong.
DATE: Dec 8th, 1941. 14:55Z.

Today, December 9th, at morning we have received reporting about shipping activities off Hong Kong. 06 G4M1 take off from Takao searching enemy ships, 1 AK and 1 AKL type ships were sighted but no hits with torpedoes.

At Afternoon, this HQ launch two more waves over enemy shipping activity in the Hong Kong Area, like following:

1st Wave: 9 A6M2 and 12 G4M1 sunk xAK Nanning, and xAK Ming Sang (the last one caugh transferring cargo -69 casualties-)

2nd Wave: 16 G4M1 take off from Takao and get sunk xAK Hanyang caught transferring cargo, and get 2 torpedo hits on xAK Hinsany, sighted with heavy damage.

We think enemy try to evacuate troops from Hong Kong and we reinforce the searching missions in this arc to avoid enemy evacuation.

SUBJECT: Air attack over enemy shipping at Malaya.
DATE: Dec 8th, 1941.

Today, cooperating with IJA elements, we launch several morning and afternoon attacks over enemy shipping off Georgetown.

1st Wave : 16 G3M2 and 13 G4M1 from 22nd Air Flotilla take off from Saigon and sunk xAP Kelantan, xAP Hong Sian and xAK Wing Siang (last two caught tranferring cargo). 293 enemy casualties.

2nd Wave: 8 Ki-27 Nate flying at 100 feet in anti-launch patrol from 3rd Air Division (Burma Area Army)take off from Pattani and get sunk xAKL Nam Yong caught transferring cargo off Georgetown.

3rd Wave: (Afternoon, with overcast sky), 7 G3M2 take off from Saigon and get sunk HDML Pahalwan off Georgetown.

4th Wave: (Afternoon), 7 Ki-27 Nate from 3rd Air Division attack xAK Ellenga (Bomb Hits 4, reported on fire), and xAK Demosthenes (Bomb Hits 5, reported heavy fires). 130 enemy casualties.

DATE: Dec 9th, 1941

Today, at morning, I-155 surface to attack an enemy ship off Singkawang -Borneo-, identified like xAK Shinai. We get 11 hits over enemy ship that probably sunk after heavy fires and heavy damage. I follow the orders, and no waste torpedoes, low on gun amo, I break off surface engagement and submerge.
(75 enemy casualties reported).
Probably sunk.

Today we receive a cut message from CO I-154 near Muntok, with the following text:

"Enemy Battleship detected at 49,89, near Muntok, Prince of Wales Class with two "E" Class destroyer and one australian old Destroyer...diving crash..."
No more contact with our submarine.
A long range float plane rescued two survivors and we know the I-154 fight to the end, forced to surface was sunk by 14" shots from enemy BB, the submarine slip beneath the waves...

Today, at afternoon, i sighted an enemy ship, near Singkawang (53,87), identified like CM Kung Wo, and proceeding to attack launching 8 torpedoes, and getting 2 hits, The enemy ship, probably sunk (on fire, heavy damage). We can escape to detection.
