This is the situation we have now - looks like a classical two player map [;)] But still we need to adjust victory conditions.

To change an objects attributes we need to got to Terrain->Object and select a random object. If we now click on an existing object on the map, its Object Properties window will be shown. The box with the VP: contains the Victory Points an object has.

I give Berlin 5 VPs. Note the change of the towns banner.

I did the same with Moscow and now we got all in all 10 VPs to gain on the map. Now i have to tell the game that this is the amount each side needs to win. I go to Scenario->Players and change the V-Points to 10 for each side. You can also have different figures for each player.

In the same menu i changed the player of Russia to human. But i don't want any rain or fog in my scenario, so i go to Scenario->Weather and change the percentages to Rain 25% and Sun 75%.

Also i want more turns for achieving a victory so in Scenario->Map i change the number of turns needed for each victory to fit my ideas.

This is the end of this small introduction to the map making with the editor. There are many options i did not show, but i hope it helps getting into the whole process.I attached the map to this post for anyone who is interested in toying around with it.
Any comments and questions are welcome.

First of all, thank you very much for the tutorial.
Let me ask one question: when you add the "Tiger Ausf. E" unit, for example, what does it represent? Is it a Tiger battalion? or is it a Tiger regiment or division? I am asking it because as you probably know the largest unit that included mainly tigers was the battalion. There were also divisions that included Tigers but just forming one of the battalions of the division. In the same way, if you choose a Panther Ausf. G unit, what does it represent? A Panther regiment? A Panther division? because as you know a Panzer division was formed by one regiment of tanks and two regiments of Panzergrenadiers, and it included also artillery and reconnaissance elements...
So.... what does one unit represent in this game?
Thank you very much for your help !!

Thank you Ronald for designing such an easy-to-use editor. Also thank you for making the campaign file(s) so easy to edit. Even I was able to string together four or five new scenarios into a campaign with no issues at all!
One minor thing, when you hit the "3" key to place a numerical value in a slot, the map goes to wire-frame. No big deal, just hit "3" again, but at first it was disconcerting.
Looking forward to patches and maybe more units for such a promising game system.

In the game the units represent Division and Regiments, sometimes smaller groups. As you can change the strength of a unit it can play different roles. E.G. i only included Tiger units with Strenght 5 in the scenarios i created.
In the end you can think of the unit of what you wish in your scenarios, as long as the opponents have a realistic impact on each other. Then again its a matter of what you like to achieve with the map. [;)]

Good to hear its easy to use, thats what we were hoping. And its true building a campaign is easy on the technical side. The more challenging part is the balancing and the content imho.

Yes, the keyboard interacts with both, the map and the windows, something that cannot be solved easily iirc.

Ronald,
Thank you very much for your answer, but I would like to discuss more on this topic. I am going to post this question in the general forum in his own thread. For me what a unit represents in the game is an important issue to make the game feel realistic. Actually it was my main problem with the Panzer General games...
