IMO 'Tora! Tora! Tora!' is the definitive PH film, at least that tries to be historiclaly accurate as possible.  Also I've actually flown in one of the film's stars,  a lovingly restored D3A Val,  which IMO is a far better actor than Ben whathisname Affleck anyway

However, nobody here can remember 'From Here to Eternity', with Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr and Ernest Borgnine?  That, despite being a fictional account of the men at Pearl & the attack,  is actually a far better move than the Ben-whathisname-Affleck Walt Disney production (which, IMO, they should have made as a cartoon as was originally planned)

The CGI made it seem like a cartoon. ... and I laughed at some of the scenes that were fantastically stupid ... which was most of the movie, except maybe for the opening credits.

And, now I'm willing to admit that my wife bought me the DVD for Christmas a year or so after the horrible thing came out. She wanted to see it, so we watched it one night after I had run out of reasons not to .... Gawd, it was an awful experience. Since then I have been blind. Well, I at least wish I had been struck blind before I saw it.

ATTENTION fellow WitP/AE'ers: bjmorgan has seen "Pearl Harbor" and even owns the DVD! He thought the movie was humorous and even watched it with his wife! He thinks the movie was "out of sight"!

Methinks we need to rechristen Chickenboy as Spin-Meister Chickenboy (wikiwikiwiki)
