They've already screwed me up by delaying this long. My wife has been out of town since Wednesday and she'll be coming back the 15Th! A golden opportunity missed. Ah well.

i have a game scheduled with Mogomi. If I get crushed so what. you only improve your skill if you play those who are better that you. I paid for 2 day air hoping to get it in 3 days. I do hope for a friday delivery though. to be honest i can't wait for that first turn from Mogomi.

yes yes I did.

"Wow, Rob, you paid the extra? I thought about that, too, but only for a (long and torturous ) moment. In the end I decided that we've been waiting for so long that another couple of days don't really matter ... I guess ... "

But it was not without good cause (beyond my impatience). I ordered two, one for me, and my friend who is in the army and is headed to the war and will have limited (none) computer access while there. We wanted to get in as many pbem turns as we could before he left. Besides, I have to get prepped for all the pbems I will be playing against you guys and since I'm no general (I never win ground games) practice practice practice. Of course I am a great admiral..hehehe

Too bad Matrix doesn't have an outlet in their offices. Then I could take the Staten Island Ferry over and get my copy instead of waiting for UPS to ship it. :)

We had an earthquake just now. 5.2. I felt (and saw) a rolling wave going through the house. No damage, though.

So much for the joys of California ... :)

I paid the next day air charge.. ended up being like $72 total..

so if it ships Wednesday, I SHOULD get it like 9:30AM at the office :) then I have to find a way to fake a "Emergency Service Call!" that will take me out of town for the next 2 days.. but then what do I do about the bill ? I can't fake the bill for 2 days of out of town service :)

Yup! I sat in the corner of the living room. Suddenly, I saw the walls bending, and then going back ... at the same time I felt like on a raft. :)

Dan
Trust me, it WILL arrive before Tuesday next week!

Glad to hear that things are proceeding as planned on the shipping front. I never pester Matrix about such matters because the game is READY WHEN IT IS READY. They show much more patience with you guys than I would.

Being in CA, where the warehouse is, I chose priority mail as it is the cheapest shipping solution and most likely just as fast as anything other than next day. Attack of the Clones opens Thursday and I will probably receive UV the same day or Friday. Can't get much better than that.

If you are in a supermarket, for example, it is easy to see the wave if it goes down an aisle. The stuff on the shelves jumps up as it passes, and you can even see the wave on the floor. In a house or a small room in a building, it is unusual to see the wave, but feeling it is easy. One time, in a 6.5, I thought a big truck had gone over the speedbump outside our office. When I looked up to see it, I noticed the Ryder trucks across the street were swaying back and forth, and I knew it was an earthquake. When you are on the 9th floor of a hotel in Mexico City during a 6.5, there is no doubt, as it throws you out of the bed and onto the floor. The room swaying 3 feet each direction, and the people screaming in the hall quickly let you know that it is an earthquake. But the 5.5's, I rarely feel at all.

Well no one can say that Matrix doesn't know how to launch a game in a BIG way.

If I was you guys on the West Coast I take a vacation when WITP hits the warehouse!
