I've been following this thread with interest. I'm a bad enough player in most games that most AI's give me a challenge (which I suppose could be seen as a good thing). And i've been spending most of my available time with Panzer Command:Kharkov. But as soon as my wallet recovers from Christmas and I can spend money on me, I think I'll have to give COTA another look. (or Battles from the Bulge if it's out).

I had tried a demo from HTTR I seem to recall, but just didn't quiet get into it. But maybe I'll give it another look, and "expand" my horizons a little.

You're lucky Rick and be happy you find a challenge in most all ai's. I find most all of them to be lacking and can most often beat them on their highest difficulties out of the box. There's a few mind you that are still challenging with good difficulty mechanics that the ai can play with like the ones I listed. Hope you enjoy your purchases when you get them. [:)]
