That looks like a good start, Judge. But add about another 4 ft of snow and you'll get the idea of what it looks like in SE Minnesota right now. [;)]

I didn't realize that it snowed like that in the UK, or is this unusual?

Yeah, its a real bugger, each year we get squatters that go shooting pheasants all over  the place in their Range Rovers with blacked out windows.HRH arrived in Kings Lynn yesterday by Train, which made history.it was the only train that was on time![:D][:D][:D]I'd have thought she would have still been tucked up under the Royal Duvet if she had any sense.

What would they shoot pheasants with? I was under the impression that the Brits had to turn in all of their weapons?

Where is Kings Lynn located and what attraction would bring the Queen there?

Just a curious guy from the Colonies [8|]

It's not a problem Tony...the thread can be about all things British. I just wanted to throw some photos up of our little "snow flurry" [:D]

As crazy as it may sound, sometimes I miss the snow. Especially around this time of the year!

I'd gladly trade you some of ours for about another 60 degrees on the thermometer!

Nice pictures JD-thanks.

I would appreciate a little snow next week, but it does not look promising at this point. There is plenty of snow in the mountains around here though.

Right now it is a beautiful 55F, calm and not a cloud in the sky. Problem is that is how it normally is; rain or snow in this valley is a real treat (except for the related traffic problems).

Well as long as you fit the regulations you can have a Shotgun License for shooting game.Such weapons as you have in the US will get you locked up as a Terrorist!Kings Lynn is located on the South Eastern corner of the Wash in East Anglia,it also has the closest Railway station to Sandringham House which is one of the Queens small Detatched Estates. Its been tradition for the Royal Family to spend Christmas and New Year at Sandringham.I suppose they have to get away from it all from time to time. There used to be a Railway Station in Wolferton, just across the road from Sandringham untill a certain Dr Beeching shut the railway line down.About 10 years ago it was on the market for £75,000,recently its been up for sale and they wanted £1.7 million!Google sandringham and wolferton.x

I did google Sandringham and it looks like a beautiful place. King's Lynn looks pretty neat also. What is the reasoning behind the name? King's Lynn that is....
