Two weeks ago, I ordered Starships unlimited and it got to Montreal in a couple of days. It then stayed there (presumably at customs) for almost a week before it got here, at which time I was charged an extra $46 for "brokerage fees". You can save money by ordering from the Canadian distributor (they haven't received the game yet).

Wow. Victoria Day and still no news. What a loser company UPS is. Maybe it's sitting on the beach of Sable Island, washed up from the wreckage of the UPS cargo plane. I can see it now....Polly Shore is chasing after wild horses for food and sexual pleasure and my UV copies are being used as the eyes for his imaginary buddy "Bum Boy." I ordered UV on friday, and my order status is still new. Also, no money has been deducted. I paid extra for the 2 day delivery in the hopes that it would ARRIVE today: after reading all the battle reports et al I am fiending for this game. Help!

I am in the same boat as you except I ordered on Thursday and got 3 day delivery. I went out of town this weekend and when I returned this morning the status still showed "new". I had hoped I would maybe receive it today or at least it would have shipped. I am wondering what the deal is.

I don't know if I'm really seeing the justification for the outrageous shipping costs.

My order status was "new" for a good part of the time the package was actually in transit -- the status doesn't update as fast as the packages are moving, so it seems...

After a weeks agony of watching everybody else get thier game....UPS tracking informs me that my order has been delivered. My work day just got a couple hours shorter!

Well....UPS didnt let me down....I have it! And after 4 hours of unmitigated game time....all I can say is WOW! It is definitely worth the wait!

They're torturing me. Its been in my hometown since last night and the UPS place only a half a mile away, but I still don't have it.

I feel like the kid from Animal House when the chick gets thrown onto his bed during the parade!!!!

The answer is yes.

I preordered May 2 UPS ground and if all goes well, I will have mine around 5 PM on May 22 or so.

Just wanted to give you guys another data point. I think Matrix did a great job getting this game out, and the shipping looks like it was handled fairly. Those who paid for faster service got it. Those who went cheap, like me, waited a few days. I'm happy, and I hope this makes you happy too.

By the way, we had an unexpected freeze that decimated our early planting, and my wife's car wouldn't start this morning. I'm still happy though...

Follow-up story...

UPS delivered it 3 minutes early.

Matrix's shipping status changed nearly immediately after the order was shipped. UPS's tracking didn't give any indication of progress until the morning of the delivery.

U(ber) P(ostal) S(loths) is an amazing company. I hope they don't have an ambulance service.

My showed up today, Hurrah!

Only problem is that I spent all day planting fruit trees (with a post hole digger no less) and now I can barely keep my eyes open. The 7 P's (Piss Poor Planning Proceeds Piss Poor Performance) strike again!

Ron, I hope your's arrives soon.

UPS still "can't find" my tracking number! I hope they don't expect to get paid................:rolleyes:

I'm very disappointed to hear they haven't delivered to you yet. Is it still in customs or is a UV fan somewhere in a UPS depot playing it?

Still no tracking number and it's the 28th. Got a busy week so I won't be able to play anyway. Got the DICTATORS from NYC this week. They came on the punk scene at the same time as the Ramones. Gonna be loud and too much drinking....a test of my willpower coming up!
