I am also surprised that no one mentioned
Combat Mission. I think that it will be
a very interesting alternative for all SP
fans.

I began playing boardgames in the early
eighties (ASL, Panzer Leader...) and I am
a long time player of SP. My first computer
strategy-/wargame was Desert Rats which I
played on my Sinclair Spectrum 48k...

well those were the days...

Combat mission looks to be a very cool game indeed however i expect more of Sudden Strike
www.suddenstrike.com it is really need, paratroopers, tanks, riflemen, bombers, those russian rocket throwers katuscha's or something like that, nebelwerfers, it has it all, it really looked cool, artillery bombing, you can download the demo at www.suddenstrike.com it really looks and plays cool
