If it runs on my computer, it should run almost everywhere! [:D]
How about P100 laptop and 256MB RAM + DOS 6.2? [:'(]
On a more serious note. It is good to hear that game using at least 2 cores. Unfortunately CPU manufacturers are too far in front. I think I don't have single game which running on more that 1 core. Well maybe Supreme Commander is running on 2 but I'm not entirely certain. So with i7 (and HT disabled, who need 4 more fake cores?) 1 core for running games and remaining 3 for World Community Grid stuff. Too bad you can't say to CPU: "hey mate move this to core 3 and stop clogging core 1!"[;)]

Sorry for the confusion regarding AI War (Arcen Games) and Distant Worlds (CodeForce). I only said that because, I was being honest about not remembering, and I have had pretty extensive conversations with both Elliot (CodeForce) and Chris Parks (Arcen Games) in the recent past. And both games use a similar nebula field (with similar sliders governing them).
I should have been more clear.

And the confusion continues

Distant Worlds is being developed by CodeForce (
www.codeforce.co.nz) not CodeMasters (
www.codemasters.com) which used to make games on their own, but is now just a publisher. Matrix games being the obvious publisher of Distant Worlds.

We've been able to run DW even on much older computers. Single core processors work fine. The main thing limiting you is RAM and corresponding galaxy size. Older computers simply don't run it as quickly/smoothly as new ones, but it works fine.
