Dear adversary,
I have instructed my staff to find all Messrs. Rutins in our flying cadres. They returned with a whole bunch of them files. Let's see:
Maj. D. Rutins flies a P-40B at Pearl Harbor, 15th Pursuit Group / 47th Squadron.
Cpt. F. Rutins flies a P-36 Mohawk at Anchorage,
Lt. G. Rutins serves at Ft. Ord flying O-49s, his twin
Lt. G. Rutins flies a DC2 at Kunming for CNAC,
Cpt. K. Rutins drives a B-17 from Pearl for the 19th BG and finally
Cpt. L. Rutins is happily flying a P-40E for the 35th PG based in Manila.
They are all still enjoying their good health and prosperous life. As of now, only Cpt. L. flew one combat mission. Maybe that's why.
So I am starting to wonder who it was you saw flying over Malaya.
