What resolution are you all playing at?

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: MarkShot

Just curious ...

Myself, I am trying to decide between 1600x1200 (LCD native 21.3") or 1024x768 (interpolated).

At 1600x1200, I have to wear glasses and the text is still small to me. At 1024x768, without glasses everything is easy to read and the interpolation doesn't look too bad.

Most of my previous play (RDOA, HTTR, and COTA) had been on a 20" CRT at 1024x768. Although I must say being able to take in almost 300% more map area at higher resolution is very compelling. Hmm ...

Mark, I have CRT with 1600x1200 and find it very very nice... BTW, I do wear glasses... [:D]

I'm running at 1680x1050 on a 21" screen. Crisp and clear.

The only thing I'd wish: that it run in windowed mode. I have dual screens and I like to take notes during a scenario, so I have Word open on the right screen and BFTB on the left. The issue is that everytime I alt-tab to go back to Word, BFTB doesn't stay on, it minimizes so I'm often going back and forth. Would be cool if it stayed on screen.

I'm running a dual screen system and as you can see I have BFTb on the left and Word on the right. I can freely swap between the two without BFTB minimising. So check out your display and monitor settings.

Hello Arjuna,

I've tried various settings on my video card, to no avail (I have a nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS). I am mystified how you do this. I always thought that applications running full screen takes over the whole desktop and will simply minimize when you get out of them to switch to another application. But if it works for you, there must be a way to make it happen. It's getting late but I'll continue to search tomorrow...

Hurraaah !

Problem solved. I can now keep BFTB fully maximized on one screen while switching and working into another application on the other screen.

How did I do it ?...Err,you know we are always being told that we need to keep our graphics card drivers up-to-date ? Well, mine were, let's say, somewhat old... [:o] After installing the latest nVidia drivers and rebooting, I just fired up BFTB and voilà ! It worked, as simple as that.

[&o] Thanks Arjuna, if I hadn't seen your layout, I never would have thought it possible...
