I can still remember one of our journalists holding a copy up on TV and saying it should be banned as it was going to corrupt all the youth of Australia (maybe the Syringe on the front cover was not such a good idea!). Of course his copy was still in its plastic wrap so he had never even played it! The only good thing is that Dave once told me that he got the sack from his Newsparer job, karma at work [8D]

Ha, I rememebr Dave demoing Fire-Brigade at a games convention in Canberra. He had it running on his Mac, I spent several hours playing and he convinced me to part with $60(?) for the Amiga version. This was to be released "Real Soon Now". I should have known I was in trouble when he contacted me and asked if I could Beta test it for him!

Still have my copy at home, it was a good (and different) game in its day. Dave has always been willing to take a different tact.

Hexless and contiguous too, IIRC!

RAM to play = £150
Enjoyment = priceless.

Not really, got the Mac version somewhere at home. I didn't know there was an Amiga version as well. I miss the setting but TBH I don't miss playing that actual game At the time I was making something similar using Apple's Hypercard. Ah... those were the days. Wouldn't like to go back though.

For some weird reason my copy of Fire-Brigade has black and white documentation. Damn, it seems that I have bought a re-edition or something like that.

Anyway, it's incredible to see a 22 year old game and know that developers who made it are still making similar games.
Too bad that the same thing can't be said about cRPG developers[:(].
