Kelly's Heroes is one of the best movies of all time. So many good lines, especially by Big Joe.
"This town's got no action! What we need is some booze!"
"But Joe...we ain't got no booze."
Big Joe (in whiny voice) "We ain't got no booze......SHUT-UP!"
Big Joe turns to Chaplain "Okay padre, you and me are going down to Battalion, we're gonna pick up some booze, some dirty movies and some broads, and when we get back I want this place to look like a regular saloon!"
I watch that movie once a year, and I laugh every time...

Yossarian: Let me see if I've got this straight: in order to be grounded, I've got to be crazy and I must be crazy to keep flying. But if I ask to be grounded, that means I'm not crazy any more and I have to keep flying.

My current favorite is from HBO's "The Pacific":
Gene Sledge -- "So, what do you believe in?"
Robert Leckie -- "I believe in ammunition."

I always considered "Aliens" and war movie. It has a lot of good quotes from Bill Paxton as Pvt. Hudson.
Hudson: "Hey, Vasquez, you ever been mistaken for a man?"
Vasquez: "No, have you?"
Hudson: "Why don't you put her in charge?!"
Hudson: "Game over!!"
And then there is Hudson's "Bad Ass" prep talk just before the drop. Can't remember it verbatum.

To a New-Yorker like you, a hero is some kind of sandwitch. Not some nut who takes on three Tigers!

It's a quote from his Avatar - Oddball from Kelly's Heroes.

Kelly's Heroes is one of my favorite movies. So many good quotes. I like Cowboy's character and Carroll O'Connor's character...
"Where are you from, soldier?"
"Jersey City." (O'Connor's cigar droops)
"Well, that's ok, we've got a medal for you anyway!!!"
"I think it has something to do with the ionosphere."
"Well, get it the hell off the air!"
"They even got the gravediggers with them! "
"Go, go, go! That's the kind of fighting spirit I'm talking about! If that guy's a major, he's a colonel now! They're the ones doing what you're supposed to be doing!"
"Would you stop worrying about your flank! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR FLANK!!?"
"We've got logistics coming out of our ears!"

I know some probably don't like The Big Red One. But, here it goes....
"You know how you smoke out a sniper? You send a guy out in the open and you see if he gets shot. They thought that one up at West Point."
"How did you miss that guy, Griff? He's close enough to kiss both cheeks!" (Shoots French soldier).
I liked this from Band of Brothers.
Richard Winters: I treasure my remark to my grandson who asked, "Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?" Grandpa said, "No... but I served in a company of heroes".
[Easy Compagny is patrolling through the Bavarian woods[/i]]
Frank Perconte: Hey, George.
George Luz: Yeah?
Frank Perconte: Kind of remind you of Bastogne?
George Luz: Yeah, now that you mention it. Except, of course, there's no snow, we got warm grub in our bellies, and the trees aren't fucking exploding from Kraut artillery, but yeah... Frank... other than that, it's a lot like Bastogne.
Frank Perconte: Right?
George Luz: Bull, smack him for me please?
[thump[/i]]
George Luz: Thank you.

More Kelly's Heros:
"You could use some armour."
"What the hell is that!?"
--
(Americans trying to dig/probe their way out a mine-field after one comrad already bought it.)
CrapGame: "Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey- I've found one!"
Big Joe: "Oh, what kind is it?"
LOL
CrapGame: "It's the kind that blows up!"
I just love dark humour at the most intense moments...

Gunnery Sgt. Hartman: "Did your parents have any children that lived?"
Private Pyle "Sir, yes sir!"
Gunnery Sgt. Hartman: "I bet they regret that"

Hehe, what a great screenplay.
