WitP AE has a hand drawn map and some minor animations, so whatever video card works with Windows should be fine as well here. The big scenario allocates like 500 MB memory and considering your system could not provide that much, it might swap some to hard disc.

Altogether this is a data based game and the processor affects turn resolution to a certain degree, but I suspect WitP AE would still run on a Pentium III, even though with decreased speed.

Ok my laptop specs are.

Intel Dual 1.73GHz
1GB RAM
Intel Internal Graphics 251MB shared memory
Windows Vista 32-bit

Pentium III
512 Ram
64 MB graphics

WITP AE runs fine.
Just be sure to stop the background programs.

You really think this game needs 3D? 3D here 3D there...what is it with 3D? In some games it works well in some but for me is never a deciding factor. Wait another year and the new 3Dmonitors are rolling off the assembly line and 3D games will pop up like mushrooms.
