You're welcome. I've never used this feature, yet, but I know of a lot of people that have. [:D]

There have been times when I should have and would have kept me out of trouble. [8|]

Les does sound enthusiastic about this game which is good... I've already decided to purchase this but have to wait for the money to do so. Anyway, I dont mind playing another "live" person but I've been gaming a long time and never got into the server side of things for various reasons. Thats why I loved the Panzer Command series and when PC Kharkov came out with its scenario editors I could play my random scenarios endlessly without worrying about buying another game to fill its shoes or going online after I finished the campaign. This does seem like a logical "next step" and I want to continue to enjoy the solo side of things with BA.

The game is quite good and certainly doesn't need any unpleasant cheerleaders--it speaks for itself once you play it. I was a bit skeptical at first but it's very addictive, looks really good (I love the style) and is just flat-out fun to play. It ain't ASL but it never claimed to be. I'd LOVE to see Easter Front battles one day in this system....

When they add a solo german campaign I will buy. Thats the only complaint I have.

Well then, I would be curious what your complaints would be about Company of Heroes.

Considering you can only play as the damn Americans, and there is only one damn campaign, and there are only 15 damn scenarios in that campaign.  Oh yes, and they are all pretty damn short too.

I had bought CoH but I didn't like the building stuff and the typical RTS fast pace. What I like (last scenario of the desert campaign) is that compared to the John Tiller's titles, the battle filed is not that big. So it's a nice little gem for me :)

Well, the German Hasenpfeffer Battalion would be useful, certainly.

Once a labour day campaign comes out I am all over this.

I find it ridiculous that it wasn't included out of the box.

On a (somewhat) more serious note, I do have to point out one minor buglet, or at least it seems to be one, and that is that when I'm given a 25pdr barrage to use, when it impacts it's still listed as a 5.5 inch barrage. Probably just cosmetic, but there it is. And what is it with those StuG Gs? Damn things seem to be crewed by androids or something, as they seem to be able to move, shoot, and kill with robot-like efficiency [:)]. Actually, I think I'm not getting exactly how opportunity fire works, because often I'll have armor that hasn't moved or moved at least hasn't fired (and often just moved with the hunt command) simply sit there while, in the enemy turn, German armor dances around it shooting with impunity. Is there a random factor involved, or is there a way to maximize my chances of getting op fire?

I'm fairly sure that dice rolls play a part in kill or be killed. I have seen <10% chances succeed and >60% chances fail when firing armour vs armour.

Good luck.

Oh, I'm pretty sure if your opponent gets around 2 hexes away, you can trust it :P

Nope.
I had a Sherman waiting on a street when a Panther turned the corner of a house in front of him.
It was two tiles between them and the Panther presented it's side fully.
Nothing. Instead the Panther could at it's leasure turn and blow the Sherman to smithereens. Didn't managed to hit on the first try but the Sherman patiently awaited it's doom and on the second try the Panther hit home.
I think some tweaking with the op-fire should be done even though I understand it's not easy to get it right and balanced.
