September 7th: The Polish are serious about Poznan and it requires heavy fighting to make small gains toward Lodz.

September 9th: After an arduous march, the Koenigsberg Div. can soon join the fight for Grodno.

September 9th: The Polish fall back slowly and in controlled fashion in the Modlin area. The German HQ doubts whether we can make a decisive breakthrough towards Warsaw in this sector.

September 9th: The Krakau area. We commit many troops here and hope we don't regret later to not have deployed them in the critical Lodz-Warsaw axis.

For completeness: we have gained 2 more VPs at Piotrkow and Czechowka this turn (not shown below).

September 11th: The Germans work on the larger pockets in the Krakau area while some forward units try to bypass remaining Polish defenders in this area to move in the general direction of Lublin.

September 13th: The half-way point of the campaign. Of course the German forces look overwhelmingly strong. But this is highly deceiving since the risk is not that the Polish forces suddenly turn the German army to pulp and capture Berlin. Instead the time for Germany will run out soon and many targets, especially Warsaw, are still far out of reach.
