I ran some more tests and confirmed that the game is trying to trace 'shortest' supply paths across both ferries and assault crossings! By removing the Heteren, Driel North and Doornenburg maps from the Supply Test campaign, it forced the game to trace supply across the Arnhem RR & Road bridges. So all Allied BGs then started with Full (++) incoming supply.

However, after the first battle (Panerden) on turn 1, all but one Allied BG went from Full (++) incoming supply to being Out of Supply (X). Tejszd is right about this status being "improperly shown" because if you back out of the campaign to the Command screen, then resume the campaign, all the "improper" Out of Supply indicators will be replaced by the correct Full (++) incoming supply icons.

Why is an Allied AB airhead (minor depot) capable of providing ammo and fuel supply to all of XXX Corps?
Why would an Allied armor BG drawing supply from an airhead suffer an ammo 'penalty' (80% max) but no fuel penalty?
Why, if captured, would these same airheads not provide fuel to Axis BGs?

Shouldnt airheads only provide supply to AB BGs?

Enhancement - Single supply barrel with 'chute icon... only supplies 1/2 what a single barrel depot supplies for a distance of 1 map.

OR maybe it can supply 100% of cigarettes and nylons??

interesting as the air supply couldn't even keep up with 1st AB's requirements... Let alone all of XXX corps.

The 'house rules' in effect for GCs are to remove all Allied minor depots, edit "# Number of days Allied AB BGs are automatically in supply" to 3, remove the locked static units restriction, and add a couple of meaty static BGs to Nederwetten and Gemert.

With all the Allied minor, and Axis major supply depots, its damn hard to cut XXX Corps fuel supply. None of the supply depots really represent storage dumps for ammo/fuel. These are, more accurately, just points through which supply is funneled onto the strategic playing area. That being the case, it would be more realistic if occupied enemy depots did not furnish fuel to the occupying BG. Its unlikely that supply would keep being funneled through these entry points to opposing BGs that occupied them.

Good "house rules"!

With the LSA supporting supply drops the player could be given more and have to select where/who to supply....

I like the idea of increasing the number of days the Allies get air drops and possibly reducing the # of auto supply days to 1.
It will certainly make strat turns more interesting for the Allies.
