have the same issue (kind of a bummer, cause you'd like to see the AI moves).. have not had a chance to do an AI turn yet, since installing the Beta.. hopefully will do one today..

You won't miss when she "moves".. only when she "thinks" and your screen goes black.

I have the same thing happening (not the blank screen) but all the units disapear on the AI's turn then come back once it has finished its move, I thought that it was a bit odd but then I remembered that I had checked the M/FOW box & that may be what is happening to other people as well.

Played a Smolensk turn after the patch and the Black Screen issue did NOT appear.

I originally thought that not seeing the AI movement and attacks was some kind of design decision. I did not like this. Are people now saying this is a bug. I have never seen AI movement or combat playing the 41-45 scenerio.

The black screen was something that was not intended, and seems to have appeared very late in development. We've tried to cut down on this and will continue to try to get rid of as much of it as we can. As for seeing AI movement, there was no intention to show all AI movement, but you should see combats take place if you have the message detail set to at least 1.

Hi Joel, the new Beta2 patch has seemed to fix the problem. Thank God! i was very distressed not seeing any AI movement, combat or air attacks at all. I didn't realize at first that it was a bug. This patch has increased my enjoyment of this game 1000%.
I think there are other people also suffering from this bug and not knowing it, as i have seen questions in the forums about this but the playtesters who also did not know about this bug said it was FOW.

It is not fully solved, but it should be less frequent. Slower machines could be more affected. Keep fixing.

After beta 2 patch i havent seen the black screen either. Altough i didnt have time to play more than two turns.

applied the beta2 patch and ran the game as both human for a couple of turns, and every time i pressed the end of turn button the map stayed but all the unit counters disappeared whilst it was processing ..shane_056

I think that only happens while it is doing the first part of the turn where it checks supply and does other bookkeeping stuff.  Or are you saying it stays blank until the entire turn is over?

applied the beta4 patch and ran the game and the unit counters still disappear for a short period after hitting the end of turn button, and then they return and the AI continues on with it's turn ..shane_056
