You haven't addressed the issue #2 though, why do I get to the patch description page, with little Zipped file icon, download link and patch size (2.6 MBs) and when I click on it, anonymous FTP is not allowed, nor any of my credentials work.

I don't know the answer to that Oleg - I assume it's related to the first bug, as this is not how it's working for others or for me in my testing.

Mine is on my registered game list, and I don't remember registering this one. So is it automatic now? What if you were buying it as a gift for someone else?

Oleg, do you think maybe you used a different email when you purchased? I think I used to have different ID's forum and the store. Though now all seems to be syncrhonsed...

Mine was not automatically registered. I had to register it manually.

Ok, we obviously have some issues to fix here, so I will go ahead and post the update as an attachment here for anyone who is having a problem retrieving it from the Members Club. Apologies folks, it's not supposed to be frustrating and we use that system largely to make sure the beta updates don't get mistakenly released elsewhere as official ones.

I was just a general message that the automatic register has failed for me too.

Is your concern done now?

Erik why am I getting Fatal Error Code #801 error with game serial number after update? Game and serial reg have been registered and no I have not stolen the game!!

Run it from the game menu, or run as Administrator from the quick start shortcut. That message only means that you are not running as Administrator.

This patch made AI turns waaay slower than they used to be.. at least 10x slower than 1.0.
Well it is a beta so i can't really complain... at least it did fix all the mouse issues and black screens.

What scenario do you play?

Does my saves still work if i go back to release version and move all the save files there?

yes

44-45 scenario, but whatever caused it seems to be gone and it is working fine now. Might have been the system running Defragmenting or something on the background [8|]

I want to commend the Matrix Games and 2by3 staff for being so responsive and releasing a beta patch that fast after release that addresses the annoyances already reported.

I have worked 3 years as an associate producer at Ubisoft, and I well know that after a release, the team is usually just dead tired and certainly doesn't want to work another overtime weekend to start pumping out patches...I think you've decided WITE is going to be a huge success and the level of commitment you're showing to this jewel makes this clear. I know this game is going to be refined and fine-tuned relentlessly. Erik's infinite patience with some trigger-happy customers here is remarkable. I know it's his job to be patient with customers, but saying that doesn't make it any easier.

Thanks by the way for the multiple monitors support, makes it so much more easier to move around the map now.

The mouse issue was really strange one - we had years and months of testing and, as was written here already, it partially effected just one tester and was almost next to impossible to recreate...

Of course I could have contacted you or at least dozen other old Matrix buddies - I see them coming out of the cold for this game - via email but I wanted to make a point that patch distribution system that asks for TONS of credentials and passwords is WRONG. Even if it's only a beta patch.

Also, I could not register my serial # in the Matrix Members area. Normally I would not care about registering at all, but if the registration is required to get the patch and I cannot register, than that's two issues requiring someone's attention.

Otherwise, mailing my buddies to send me patches every time the game is patched is doable but pretty ridicolous. [;)]

The is larger thanks...are there choices for different fonts, bold, etc....if so where is the menu?

Oleg is old buddy of mine (we know each other personally [;)]) and he is also avid wargamer. As editor in biggest Croatian computer magazine called "Bug" he introduced many many great Matrix games to general population (in fact his "WitP" review from 2004 was historic = 98%)! [:D]
