Northern area. Not a lot happening here. All these units will be doing a slow retreat.

Central northern area around Milowa Forts. The SS motorized regiment circled in red was attacked by the entire polish air force last turn, slowing down it's advance. I think I might have killed 100 troops, but it could have been none. I'll try and get some units in the way in that area this turn.

The Engineer unit with the red square around it will be surrounded, attacked and hopefully destroyed.

I am also getting units dug in around Warsaw.

That's all the areas of the map this turn, and it was a lot of work to make all those screenshots. I probably won't be so detailed in the future, but wanted everybody to get a good feel for what strategy I'm using and to make up for not getting any screenshots of the first turn. I have never played this scenario as the Poles so I don't know how my strategy of falling back quickly will work.

End of Polish turn 2 - Northwest.

I attacked the engineer unit with two artillery units and an infantry regiment with a +25% attack action card as can be seen in the screenshot. Got 800 German Engineers for 100 Polish infantry.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get all the bridges across the Vistula blown.

End of turn 2 - North and northeast.

I killed the exposed engineer unit and pulled back my lines a little.

End of turn 2 - Krakau area.

Pulled back the defensive line. Couldn't get any bridges blown unfortunately.

End of turn 2 - Lodz area. Strengthened defensive lines in this area. I decided to use the Polish air force to bombard the German engineer unit hoping it would blow the bridge behind him and it worked. I followed that up with an attack on the Engineers, killing 600 total for no losses to the Polish Calvary. If my opponent continues to use his engineers for scouts I will continue to attack them. And for all you new players out there, this is why you don't use engineers as scouts against a human player. I'm guessing I doubled the German casualties this turn by killing so many engineers, which would make the casualty ratio so far somewhere around 2% for the Germans to 5% for the Poles. I will take those loss ratios any day if I am right. I'll see next turn if I am.

Anybody have any comments or questions?

Good work on punishing his engineers. If you can keep that up and blow more bridges you will really slow him down.

Turn 3 messages.

I got a new infantry regiment in Grondo and an infantry division in Warsaw. Polish losses are 7% and German losses are 2%, for a ratio of 3.5 to 1, which is a good ration for the Poles although I expect the situation to worsen next turn due to the number of Polish units currently cut off.

That idiot Juliusz Rommel ordered all units in the Lodz Operational Group to hold their positions again this turn. Since I can't replace the idiot I will order him to the front lines to share the fate of the units he ordered to stay put. Either he will rescind the order next turn or he will stay put until he gets killed himself.

Turn 3 start - Northeast sector.

The Germans are trying to push into the lightly defended areas in this sector. I will continue a slow pullback.

Turn 3 start - Danzig area.

All the units in this area have too few movement points to even move anymore due to lack of supply. However, the Gdynia ND is still holding out in Gdynia and remnants of the 27th Infantry Division are still keeping a number of German units occupied around Dirschau.

Turn 3 start - North.

Holding pretty well here, although I will plug the hole in the line as shown. The units circled in red (remnants of the 4th Infantry Division and the 16th Infantry Division Artillery) don't have enough APs to escape and will just try and get the bridge blown and then die in place. The 4th Infantry Division Artillery might run for it as it still has 100 APs.

Turn 3 start - Northwest.

The Engineer at Bromberg will try and get the bridge blown across the Vistula and then die in place. If the engineer can't blow the bridge, the units on the other side of the Vistula will try and blow it and any units with AP remaining will flee southeast. The rest of the units around the Vistula will die in place.

In the southwest section of the screenshot around the units in the area will try and form a line as shown.

The Pomoreze Operational Group HQ and the 16th Infantry Division Regiment in Thorn will try and blow the bridges.

Turn 3 start. Lodz to Krakau.

Unsurprisingly the lines in this sector were penetrated this turn. I will try and form a new line as shown, but I'm sure it will be penetrated again next turn. Juliusz Rommel will be moving into the front lines as shown.
