The games werent improved because of people whining, it was improved because people contributed constructively (in comments and suggestions) to game mechanics.. and playtested it.... We dont need a negative atmosphere...

Yea totally wouldn't call myself a troll or being a starting a negative atmosphere. I simply defend people who are being attacked personally.

That's "sad"? I'll tell you what's really sad. On my first PBEM turn (obviously as Soviet) I ASSASSINATED Vassilevsky... using the HQ Relocate thing to make his HQ leave the almost Lvov pocket. Now that's sad [:@] ... [:D] ... am I crying? Nope [8D]
Nothing to cry about on that front. If a german (or soviet) HQ gets circled early in the game and has to use the relocation option to jump through enemy lines. You should have a chance your general dies. Nothing to complain about if that german/soviet general dies.
That is a completely separate issue then leader dismissals.
bwheatley, I DID laugh when that happened to me [:)]
And no, you only know half of the story [:D] Vassilevsky was NOT the boss of that Corps HQ in the Lvov salient. Another guy was in charge... I FIRST assassinated that other guy (with the relocate thing). So ONCE I managed to kill that poor soul the STAVKA automatically assigned another vict... er, guy to that Corps HQ. Er... Vassilevsky, a top ace... that did not stop me from assassinating him too [;)] So it was not the game's fault. It was MY fault (my first PBEM turn, a total NOOB, etc.) [:D]

Well the problem with this interpretation is that 'somebody' labeled my initial post as whining. This was totally incorrect and IMO just somebody trying to attack me at a personal level rather than actually trying to understand what I was attempting to convey. Look back to my initial post. I clearly documented (w/screen shot) my encountered issue. Sure I was a bit frustrated, after almost 40hrs playing this game there's an emotional attachment. Not going to apologize for that. What I did was to get this issue documented and have been told by developers it was correct and they have now implement a new rule to correct this behavior in the next patch.
So I'd say mission accomplished by this post. I think what should be said is 'closed mouths don't get feed'.

How many times has Joel told you that they are making fix that no German leader dismissal will occur before December? At least TWICE by my count. Yet you still are whining about it.
That is why you are a troll.

Once again Mynok is showing his immaturity. Thing is you're wrong. It was abulbulian's post that prompted the change about leader dismissals and/or added some level of priority to it. There had been other posts about leaders dying to frequent and that formula had been talked about being adjusted too.
What is the matter with you that you need to keep making attempts to insult people?
If possible I think people like Mynok that don't contribute at any significant level should just be banned. Nobody respects people that use this forum to just throw out insults. Can't you control yourself? [:-]

Notice the past tense on that sentence.
The problem isn't that he's pointing out an issue, the problem is that he's pointing out an issue that's already been acknowledged and addressed.
Even if we grant that trolling is too strong a word, at best the thread is unproductive.

You're wrong the leadership dismissal change had not been added to change until after posts. Look at some of the threads. Why do you jump on here with no facts.
It was the leaders dying that had been discussed and changes in motion. The thread was productive. Just ask Joel if you don't believe me.
And who the heck do you think you are trying to say who should or shouldn't start a thread? Do you have some sort of God complex? He paid his money and posted a serious concern and documented it. What is not productive is your post trying to be negative and with nothing to back it up.

As someone who frequents these matrix forums this makes me sad. Usually its pretty congenial in here. OP made his concerns for the current state of then game known. Whats the problem with that. Nothing imo. No need to jump down this guys throat for it.
Hope progress goes well on the patch for these issues. As it is to frustating for me to continue current game. Leaders dieing way to frequent and Guderian getting replaced in July in my newest game. All in all a gem of a game. Even the worlds best diamonds have flaws in them.

After I saw Model send to command an RHG I just let the Leaders run themselves and worry no more. It is "politics". I finally took Leningrad before the Mud so all else is Gravy

Yea on my first soviet turn i lost probably 4 -5 generals bouncing hq's out of pockets. I just prayed it was nobody decent. We get a handful of guys with infantry rating of 7.
