The phone was stubbornly ringing... Schlaub hurried inside the building throwing his fine french cigar half way through...
- What a pity he thought...
- H.H. Oberst Schlaub speaking, Wolfschanze HQ!
- OKW. General Major Karl Reich! I have centralized all incoming reports from our units at the front and sent you via courier the map. I think the Fuhrer has great reasons to be pride of his army. We achieved more than we have planned.
- Danke schoen Herr General Major! I will send the documents to the FUhrer's desk as soon as the courier arrives!

And the operational status in third week of the campaign, as the battle for the Frontier draws to an end... It seems no more quick advances can be secured without extra effort as the Russians began to organize some sort of defense and the logistics of the Axis becomes stretched out.

Army Group North, Operational Briefing, 03.07.1941:
- Riga is firmly secured
- 4th Panzer Army has secured a bridgehead over the Velikaya river and is within striking distance of Pskov. A tough question arise: should Pskov be taken outright or should it be by-passed and a further strike northeastwards would make the Russian abandon their defense of this city?
- Infantry divisions try to secure the Baltics while moving fast from behind.
- Enemy is in full retreat across the entire front

Army Group Center, Operational Briefing before the start of the last week of the Frontier Battle (beginning of 3rd turn):
- Minsk was encircled and the division defending it was forced into retreat northwards
- The initial grand pocked north of Brest-Litovsk is being gradually reduced to dust
- A new pocket, trapping 3 rifle divisions and 2 tank divisions was created around Baranovichi in the center of the front
- A further 1 tank division and 2 rifle divisions will be liquidated in a pocket south of Vilnius
- A bridgehead across the Berezina was created , granting the opportunity to grab Mogilev, Zhlobin and Rogachev , the former two cities less than 50 km north of Gomel and important bases for an attack across the Dnepr

"Good day, good friday, not so good for the troops, isn't ? Well that's how the things going in war , some ppl take the smoke , other take an artilery "smoke". Some ppl drink the finest wisky, 1933 year, others drink their fresh blood from a bullet who just hit thier full mouth.... lips are gone, teeths are gone, what remain is only a large hole and a dead body...

This is our week of fightings 3-10 of July, 1941...

1.what did happend? Our panzers and motorized divisions ... receive their orders to advance south-east of Vinnitssa, recon and if possible cut off the retreat routes of russians divisions from that Sector.......well good to go but , supplies never arrived. Panzer Divisions were forced to retreat 40 km west of Vinnitssa for resupply fuel+ammo, and receive new orders to go south, this time west of Bug river, not east anymore (so a regress of our advance), and try another cut off, even so , in Russia the word "better later than sooner" is not in our favor...

2. On romanian sectors, large scale fights were comencing but to Ger OKH surprise, with no results. Dnestr river was forced , but only little advance was made.

"Final stop , ODESSA"
To describe the scale of battles from the romanian front, take notice that romanian HQ give 3 full assaults on russian fortifications defending the crossing points over bank of Denistr river. High casualties result for both sides. Over 250.000 were involved with more than 20.000 casualties overall.
