This is the only reference I can find in the manual. I will try it when I find a situation like this.

"Units that have not moved canalways move at least one hex, even if it costs more than their MPs. To make this minimummove, the unit must be the only unit selected."

Yes, I know that. In some games it is allowed and other's it is not. I am assuming since there are no exceptions noted to this rule then it is allowed. It does make a big difference when embroiled in a heavy duty front battle and if allowed makes it much easier to surround and destroy units defending and makes it really easy for infantry to take advantage of this rule in let us say mid 1943.

I wonder if they have inproved the AI yet in making marshes a prohibited area for armour to move into? Kind of silly if you ask me to move armour into marsh taking away all of it's mobility advantages. lol

Just confirmed you can move from eZOC to eZOC in static mode too.

Forgive the question that is off-topic, please. But following your recommendation BA, I loaded up the '43 campaign to give it a shot. Was fun, but it seemed like so many of the Axis Minor Allies couldn't move even the 1 minimum hex. This was still the case after I started turn 2, and made sure they weren't frozen in the Commanders report, and that they weren't requiring activation. The Hungarian light divisions mainly were 1-0 units. Perhaps I've missed another rule or explanation in the manual.

Is this supposed to be the situation?

One Hungarian is active on turn 1 (non security), another bunch activate about turn 4. The Rumanians in Rumania don't activate until the Soviets get close to their border.

Every thing is working properly.

Well that makes it interesting. Even static units guaranteed to move one hex. Hmmm, very interesting.

Haven't really got into the game yet but as my memory serves me correctly...,

For the Germans it is the first summer which will makes it or breaks it for the Germans. Get to where the Germans didn't historically and it should be real good for the Germans. Take Lenningrad, Moscow and Staligrad and I think it would call for champaigne and cheese!! :-))

Historically I can see why the Germans did not get to Moscow or Stalingrad, especially Stalingrad as their supply line was so long but Leningrad? They had a supply line all the way to Lenningrad. It just baffles me that the Russians managed to hold it for the entire war. lol

Mmmmn...if the Soviets get any closer to the Rumanian border, they'll be over it...[;)]

Whatever you do, don't ask Göring.... he forgot to check the resources available to him before making promises...

"Dont worry boss my boys will get them 700 tons a day...."

If the Axis player was to bring all the Luftwaffe into play around Stalingrad I bet you could easily drop 700 tons with all the bombers assisting.

You could, but you'd have to assume the Russian player would have every available fighter and AA gun within range.

I'd be trying desperately to avoid getting into that situation in the first place!

Yes, but these are weekly turns. So we would really need to see them lift 4900 tons per turn.

You'd need to drop 4900 tons, as said, and that's probably impossible.
