Turn 26 - May 1777
Charleston fell. Ian's battle map can better explain it but it was a pincer from the south and from the sea. Only 2 regiments remain of the South Carolina brigade and I don't even have the troops in position to give them safe passage out of the war zone.
The British southern strategy has been causing me grief. Although the south is not especially rich in VPs, the campaign in Virginia and the Carolinas has captured vast swaths of patriot territory, inflicted serious losses on the continentals, and left the remnants of my army scattered from Maryland to Georgia. Although my army as a whole is still intact, many patriot recruiting areas are now under British control.
So for all practical purposes everything south of Baltimore is under British control. That doesn't leave much doubt as to where Ian might turn to next if he wishes to continue the campaign. New England has two daggers pointed at it, one from Boston and one from New York. Philadelphia and Baltimore are likewise in the shadow of a large British army in Virginia. One thing in my favor is that it will require about half of his forces just to garrison his conquests, which leaves a smaller force available for operations against one of those regions. If I deploy my forces appropriately I should be able to match him man-for-man during the next engagement.

Turn 20 November 1776
Grant is going hell for leather to finish off whats left of Virginia while General Fraser is readying the rest of the army to strike North and South Carolina and then Georgia,I hope to have the campain in the south completed a long time before the French make an appearence so that i will have time to conduct operations against the middle and northern states.

Turn 21 December 1776
The overall picture at the end of 1776 shows British success in Virginia the last continental units have fled north or have being destroyed at Charlottesville.
Grant and Fraser the commanders of the two main British armies in Virginia have orders from the CinC Howe to capture Hillsborro in N Carolina and to strike farther south at Georgia and S Carolina to capture the rebel supply base's at Augusta,Winnsborro and Charlston this will deny the rebels any supply and reinforcement in the south and will hopefully bring the southern colonies back into the empire.

Well, Ian, I'd say it's lucky that the British didn't have you and the recon assets of this scenario or there would only be one type of English spoken, eh? Looks like Curt may have a problem!

Kurt
Hey Kurt you do seem to get a lot of glimpses of units moving through the wilderness and i get a lot of indian units as the Britiah so if i spot something i tend to send a few indians to have a look around and hope they bump into an American force also i get a lot of intel off the navy scouting the coast,Ive maybe watched about half the playbacks and they have being quite usefull considering the recon is set to zero.
Curt is up against it now as you will see in the upcomming posts but as Curt has said ive got to garrison the south as well as Boston,NewYork and Canada i hope that the army im left with will be powerfull enough to challenge the Americans in the North ive not yet seen large numbers of american militia so im assuming Curt has got plenty to call upon for the next couple of years.

Not to worry...it's all part of the master plan. Once I trick him into capturing Philadelphia I'll have the British exactly where I want them!

Turn 27 June 1777
The conquest of the south is almost complete all the major towns are in British hands a lot of American troops have being destroyed the main battle will be in the centre around Philedelphia and NewYork if i can seriously weaken the rebels the French intervention will come to late and i will be powerfull enough to fight them both at the same time. The Americans are going to have to commit serious troops to the campain for the centre as the VPs are stacking up in my favour im at about 20 if i can get upto 30 then the French intervention EEV will never be reached so i expect a serious battle to rage around Philadelphia.

Turn 28 July 1777
Just when i thought the south was finished a small rebel army is spotted marching south down the coast to St Augustine lucky for me i had sent a small force of Indians to scout the wilderness for the survivors from the rebel defeat at Augusta and to my suprise they bumped into this American force,Troops embarking at Charleston to sail north where sent south instead and the situation was quickly resolved as more valuable American units are destroyed.

This looks like an awfully cool scenario. Can I download it? Also I'm jealous of how you've been able to color your report fonts. I was able to get the right font but the color is too gold. Something more white like yours would be much better. I just don't know which settings to change.
