I have seen the Soviets very low before winter - huge pockets at Leningrad and Moscow at normal vs AI, down to less than 3 million troops when mud hits, they still bounce back and slam you come winter. Count on it.

please post the blizzard turns as I just have to know if your overstretched advance will be surrounded.

Stalingrad would be a hand slap compared to this if you cannot react in time.

hahah. Well I did not save the turns. Its mid january and operation run like hell still continues.

Ill post a picture soon.

EDIT . Big problem.

I didnt save the game. I thought I did last night.

Anyway the situation WAS, I had retreated well past kiev, romanians were pulling back (I guess getting their teeth kicked in would be more accurate) to their mountain line.

I managed to save almost all of the army in that huge bulge, by sacrificing a couple of lambs.

The loss count was 4 million soviets to 1 million germans, and 3rd week of january.

Most of the attrition was due to blizzard.

But I had almost got all my army to the north army line to establish a line there.

fantastic,

by the way you should sent that map picture to Viagra with a simple note on the problems of a extended supply line that lasts more than 4 hours.
