The ring is closing in on Rivendell and will likely reach there next round. Then we rest and consider our further way south...

Turn 13:
Minas Tirith is gone. Pelargir will fall soon. However his Southern army has not reached our South Gondor army yet.
Heavy battles in Rohan continue. Both armies might fight each other to exhaustion maybe.
In the North the Elves are crossing the Brandywine and try to set up a position in the Shire. Needed to evacuate Bree however.
We are also slowly marching on Fornost. That way we can force Sauron to reclaim the North at some point.

The ring is finally save in Rivendell. That is maybe one third of the way to Mordor. Rivendell is really strongly defended now and the besieging army is withdrawing. We split off Aragorn from the Fellowship to establish him as a military HQ who will lead an Elven Army against either Moria or the Eastern Shire.

What happened?  You've made it through the first third. Will the game continue?

Well the Fellowship needs to be set up and equipped, plans need to be deliberated, everybody needs some rest, the Elves need to sing some songs from Ages past and so on. Also I think Sauron is on a brief holiday and I sure hope the game continues once he is back.
Alas I see a lot of imbalances and imperfections in the combat system already so I am very interested to see how things continue...
