Indeed. There's no fog of war here guys. You can track exactly where the rail repair is at and how far units are from a railhead.

The other thing to bear in mind what the supply length of the Axis is going to be after they march forward the following turn. Bounding ahead may leave them high and dry. So you can position your forces to absorb the worst of it and then they're going to be out of gas and out of range of further buildups.

I have always wondered whether repairing railheads in a prior turn actually extends the logistical net the next turn; here it is:

Supply segment (20.4.2)
„h Emergency vehicle reallocation sub- segment (20.1.4.2)
„h Set Unit Supply Requirements sub-segment (20.1)
„h First supply delivery sub-segment (from HQ units) (20.4.2)
„h Automatic Rail Repair Unit movement sub-segment (14.2.2)
„h Emergency Rail Repair sub-segment (14.2.2)
„h Second supply delivery sub-segment (from Railheads) (20.4.2)

So, the logistal net does extend as far as the repairs are finished in the Automatic Rail Repair phase prior to the Second suppply delivery sub-segment.
