Would be nice to see the updates for this mod posted here. Can't get logged in at the Blitz, no response from them on a new password either. Who runs that site anyway? Already contacted them about it, still no repsonse.[>:]

What's your handle at The Blitz Scott?
I can get a message to the moderators.
BTW, nine times out of ten if you do not get an auto e-mail with your password, or the one that is sent to you, it is because you did not update the site with your latest e-mail address.

Have given them my emaill addy already when I request a new password. Not trying to come down hard on them, but have run into sites with the same problem. Can't login and can't get any response. Gets pretty frustrating. Handle is the same one I use here. Appreciate your help too!

Gets worse instead of getting better. Got help in getting a new password. Go to the Blitz, get logged in, go to the forum to get the updates , and as I select the file to dl it, I get the message I have to login first, lol Go back and forth repeating this a couple of times, then said the heck with it. Its not worth the hassle to dl a couple of files.

Scott, you do know that the club has one loggin and the forum another?
I agree it gets frustrating.
I think I had to also register with Rapidshare to get the files too!

I guess it's all process and persistence, coupled with a level of interest?

Hey guys, sorry I don't get over here much, since it is all but dried up, the Blitz doesn't have much going on any more either. There are still guys playing there, I have 10 games going, but not much chatter, which I really miss!! I would like to post updates here, but am unable to post zip files, you need to change the .zip to .txt or something, and is too much hassle. I'm too poor to have a website, have the main file on Rapidshare, and the Blitz was kind enough to have a hosted area for me, it is a bummer some can't get to that because of being evicted and such. What would you recommend?

There is a free online storage called Dropbox. You get up to 2 gigs free. You have a Public folder that you can upload files to, and then post a link for people to download from. That is what some of us use for large PBEM files and mods. Works with PC, Mac and linux.

How does everyone feel about leaders at the company level, Captains? Put them in the company oob's, or leave them to everyone else to put in? I put leaders in all the higher-echelon formations.

I think it should cepend on the type. Special units definately, Standard units I am not sure.

Sounds fair enough, then scenario designers can add if they like, all upper echelon have them, they can easily delete from the formations, but adding sometimes is very time consuming!

Mike, this would be my 0.02 as well. Having them available in OOB and then opting to not use them in a scenario is way easier than adding them separately. If in doubt just add them [:)]

Korean War Mod - error code 486 matter

JTCS - Korean Conflict followers - I have Win 8.1 OS system which functions properly for RS, WF, & EF ver 2 but Korean mod (installed correctly as I get the Main Menu screen for selecting relevant scenarios) generates error message (code 486) for contacting Matix Games Support when attempting to start new scenario. Is there a map related issue involved ?

Hi, this is a registry error. Would you please take a screenshot of your windows explorer showing where you have it installed? It needs to be Within the Matrix Games John Tillers installation. I'm the creator of the Korean War Mod, so I will do my best to get you going here!! You can email me the screenie if you like.

Warhorse -

I d/led from your DropBox account. While all the editors work, when I select a scenario to play and hit "OK" rising sun.exe crashes. BTW, I don't see a Korean War.exe anywhere.

I tried several XP/98/95 compatibility settings and nothing worked.

Any ideas? I'm running Win 7 64 bit.

Thanks!

Hi, in Windows Explorer you should see Korean War.exe, as well as all the other exe's, will all say kworg, map, etc. If not, make sure in folder properties you are able to see all files. Did you download this recently? And did you put into a directory by itself? In my rig I have it under the John Tillers Campaign Series directory. If you don't see any korean war exe's, you have an older version!!

Try this, it has been so long since I put that together! This is a link to the update, new Korean War exe's and other stuff. I thought I had made a new all-encompassing install, but may be wrong? When you unzipped, did it make a folder Korean War 2.0?

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58654449/Korean%20War%20Update.zip

Let me know if this works, put it in via JSGME!!

That fixed it! I had to make the folder myself.

Mucho gratis! (whatever...)
