Any word on when we start?

We didn't even get eight sign ups. We could go with five, but that would mean some first round byes. Or we could just can it.

Ill play as well, that gives you an even six.

We'll go with six.

Rounds 1 & 2:
Small World

Round 3 (Consolation and Championship):
Medium World

All rounds:
Normal World
Mirrorish
Shroud
Use Resources
One Town Start
Climate - Full Range
Fog of War
PBEM Protection
Passwords

Player #1 must declare war on Player #2 during the first turn.

--- Round Two ---
I: Seed 1 vs Winner of D
II: Seed 2 vs Winner of C

--- Round Three (Consolation) ---
Losing players from Round Two pair off to fight for Third Place

--- Round Three (Championship) ---
Wining players from Round Two pair off to fight for First Place

I will seed everyone via a random "die roll" from a dice server I use. PM me your email (if I don't already have it) and I will include you in the results. Highest number = Seed 1, etc.

Hey would it be possible to have an AAR written? Yes it does takes some time but it's way more fun for those following the game.

For balance, I'm leaning towards letting the Player One in each game be the lowest ranked Seed (ie Seed #6 vs Seed #1...Seed #6 sets up the game and is Player One).

I think this will help balance the fact that Seed #1 and Seed #2 get a bye in the first round of 2012.

Seeding in future years (if there are future years) will be determined by the finishing order of "ATG March Madness - 2012". So the "low seed goes first" will help shake up the standings a bit.

Since we did not get a full complement of even eight players, I think we should play the entire tournament on Medium worlds.

I just number them sequentially. 001, 002, 003, 004, etc. You would have all of the odd numbered turns. But we can use any file naming protocol that you are comfortable with.

No that's fine...but I'm curious, why did you start at "003"? Shouldn't we start with "001"? I haven't taken any turns yet...

I agree with everything you've said...reboot with Small World, and first player has to declare war. Anyone? Buller? Bueller?
