Thanks John, True WWII in color! Now I've got another hankering to stop by the Udvar in Reston. I have two girls (17 and 20) so alas my trips are solo..[:(]

He appears to be Fallshirmjaeger, perhaps they are authentic? Anyway all this equipment seems to be at least somewhat inauthentic. They've been colorized!

I just wonder why..OH WHY..most re-enactors of German troops want to dress as Waffen SS...probably the "cool" factor.
