I think you guys really nailed this game. Here's why. Like SC, the game is deceptively simple to get into, but that simplicity hides a depth of realism that comes from how you made all of the moving parts work together. Like how the technology system and the use of PP, MP, etc. work together to show the difference between the Germans and AH. This game, like SC, lets you ask "What if?" and then lets you answer that question. To me, that IS the most fun part of wargaming.
I have been impressed by the AI so far...
Read this and decided to buy it.

By the way, this game has prompted me to seriously consider buying the WW2 version of Commander.
Good idea, but also consider the
Grand Strategy v2.10 mod (free download) that goes with WW2 Commander, for much improved game.

Have owned and played GOA, till the point of not really having much of an interest in it further.
The only thing that I'm concerned with here is the Multiplayer? I highly doubt that the AI will remain challenging. Once you get use to exploiting the thing the only way it can be challenging if it cheats. Which I hate but that's gaming : )
GOA had a large Mulitplayer dedicated core. Kept the game going but will this? I say this probably relies on simple but very meaningful recipes, how long are the game turns? Is the detail good but not mind boggling? Are there lots of strategic and tactical options?

From some stupid reason I can't explain I declared war on Bulgaria before they would have entered the conflict....Again, no explanation.
That may have been if you were the first to use gas attacks. It will hasten Bulgaria's entry into the war by about 10 turns, and if it has less than 10 turns to go, well...

I think BYU was saying that he actively chose to declare war, rather than waiting for the Bulgarians to declare war themselves.

The first thing painful stings in the eye:
Representation of cities through big "DVD" icons?
Come on now, you can do this better!
If you want, use the graphics of Panzercorps.
This DVDs visually destroy the nice map! [:@]
