As a WAG, I'd say Sunderland, but I don't think that's right. It does look like a 4 engine beast.

Bill

Not a Sunderland, although they do have one there. This type isn't in the game btw. There are a few clues in there, if you know what to look for/at. [;)]

And if it's not a Vulcan, how about a Valiant? It's definately a post war jet bomber. (Mach meter)>

Geek [:D] It is indeed the Vulcan, she's pretty much stripped out inside though. The three nav positions are missing their black boxes. It still has the standard old aircraft smell though.

Mystery aircraft! First person to guess wins the kudos of your fellow forumites! Is this a good thing? Only you can decide...

Yellow and Black bang seat handle in the lower left corner and a very sloped windshield. Not likely to be anything from WWII.

My money is on the V-bomber that Dixie was banging on about getting a special tour.....

Edit: Whoops, missed the last couple of posts above. Pipped at the post!! [:'(]

Edit 2: Just noticed the Air Speed Indicator calibrated up to Mach 1.3 - That might have been a hint to the observant!! [:D]

One from yesterday as PZ865 sits in the British sunshine! The cowlings are off because someone had to blank off part of the oil system. She's also had an engine change, constant speed unit change and a carburetor change.

The spinner has divided opinion on BBMF, some people like it whilst others (the majority I believe) think it's horrible.

I'll claim this one as partially on topic, seeing as 17 Sqn are in the game [:)] This seems to be known as 'my' Hurricane for some reason. She's also been the best behaved of the fighters so far this year, but I now expect her to throw a tantrum and stop working!

And to finish for tonight, a view from my favourite aeroplane. Sitting astride the #2 engine mount with the R/H (A bank) cam-cover off.

Here's a pic of a Merlin engine block, this is a replacement for one which was leaking oil.

Here's the engine without the block fitted, in this case the #1 engine 'B' block on the Lancaster.
