I see there aren't any policy files in your mod.. the game runs alright without those?

I've played at least four, hour long games so far (And one to the end) without any noticeable problems. But they are being made for a 1.1 release. :)

This really was a very barebones release just to show off the mod and to show that progress is being made.

Edit: Oh and I am in particular looking for feedback on the races. Stats, bonuses and victory conditions - It's hard to balance so many new races to fit with vanilla. [:D]

Now I can play all X3 Ships and that without playing X3TC! I love this mod[8D]

But one question:
It is not better to put the X3-races on low number place, like the 4 (the number of the humans) for terrans for example? So, they have a clear position in the game.

I don't see the point - If you're using random empires, it's not like it'll pick races from the top of the list down. That wouldn't be random - It's compatible with the Vanilla races. If you want to guarantee certain races appearing, simply manually add them and fill any other slots with RANDOM. [:)]

Feedback is still very much welcome [:)] - I've been busying myself with beta testing a few other games as of late so I haven't had the chance to field test all of the races thoroughly.

Bump for great justice.

Seeing that Mansen is largely inactive now and probably stopped playing the game, I decided to continue development on the mod, on my own. Spendt too much time on the shipsets to leave this mod incompleted.
Even though the shipsets greatly enrich my own personal modversion, I think it would be only proper to deliver a finnished and polished version of the mod to the community.

The shipsets, as they are right now are largely completed, I think... maybe there is place for a few fake shipsets, for those who like to design their own ships. ATF, Goners, OTAS anyone?

With X Rebirth out now, maybe I can rip some starships from there as well! :)



So far I have no real plan for this, it would probably better to await the release of the next expansion and rebuild the mod entirely from scratch for that.


Anyways, people, this mod has not been forgotten... in the meantime, I really hope that people are using the shipsets in their own personal version!

Like the Look of this, just wondering what method is being used for making the shipsets? Is it being done manually or some form of ripping from a ship editor/viewer for x3?

Manually.

All the ships are manually extracted from selfmade ingame screenshots, which are afterwards edited on photoshop.

I use the XRM mod for X3AP and there are quite a few new ships in the theme of the X3 universe in there that you could probably use... i.e heres the Terran Nagoya and another i forgot the name of..

Glad someone is still working on this been a big fan of the X series.. well, not much nowadays after the disaster that is the X:Rebirth. But that is another story for another day...

Since it does not seem to have a modded

research.txt
components.txt
facilities.txt

it should be fully compatible with the DW:U version of my BalanceMod (expanded and rebalanced tech tree).

Ok, since the OTAS don't have many ships I could use (or I just couldn't find that much) I simply replaced every Argon ship I could and left the rest to get a whole set. So basically, what I wanted to say was I just implemented the OTAS into the game with a rather unspectacular shipset. By the way, could anyone pls tell me how to make the pictures smaller? It's pretty annoying to get bombed everytime I post something I made :D

You mean smaller thread images? You're going to have to shrink them in something like paint or upload them to a website that generates thumbnail sized images with links to the full size. :)

I'd like to see it fleshed out with the new changes Universes introduced.
