hi friends it will be a difficult question... but let me explain:
as JFB you have these most important options:
Dabigbabes
ironman allied ai
reluctant admiral
what is the best one to play versus ai and enjoy most?
please explain the answers. playing seriously witpae is not a joke so i need to be sure what scenario i will play montsh and months.
thx a lot masters of the pacific.
BigBabes and Reluctant Admiral aren't good scenarios to play as the Japanese. They work ok against a Japanese AI, but don't work to well as a Japanese player against the Allied AI.
For a JFB playing against an Allied AI, I suggest you try AndyMac's Ironman scenarios. I 'think' drw61 has some of the Babes things ported to stock, but these would be BabesLite which are stock in all but name.
Wish I had better answers for you, but I don't. Best bet is trying AndyMac's Ironman things.

I would think that RA would be the opposite. It has a lot of new ships and reorganized IJN ground forces, but the Allies are mostly the same as stock.

I am so sorry I said anything. I'm sure everyone knows everything about anything. Obviously you all know ... (whether you do or not) Last you will ever hear from me. Have a nice time.

Fine, stay away if you can only dictate and not discuss anything.
All I ever see is you flying off the handle and calling other posters names if they don't take every word of yours to be gospel. You know a lot, but your people skills suck.

John is dead on with his comments here. I don't think RA would be very good against the AI. It'll work but I am not sure how well it would work. Has anyone played it vs. the AI for any period of time?

I have never said that I have "crushed" the Nasty version. I have been able to make headway, yes. Win some battle, yes.
The Nasty version already (perceptions here, I have NOT looked at the data file) has:
Dorniers with 8 Torps and Pilots skill/exp of 100/100
CVN Enterprise shipping with F-14 Tomcats, commanded by Ian. [;)]
An entire CORPS (some 1500 tubes) of Long Tom's commanded by John.
Anyway, when Andy says in one of his posts you need to move on your primary targets quickly .... Yeah, you REALLY need to have a fast timetable and stay on track. Some of those locations, once they get to Forts +lvl3, you may never take them.
I can't imagine what he put in for the NASTY Nasty version. [:D]

I have not tried IRONMAN on Japanese side, but on third day as Allies, my bombers accidentally attacked Yamato with RUFEs on CAP north of Miri, and around the same time LEXINGTON met two CVEs south of Wake (and sunk one of them - not that unarmored CVEs have any chance against fleet CV), so historical composition of those Scenarios is quite "free".
I would actually recommend my own MOD (and I need people to better test it [:D]). It was specifically made to work with current AI. And if you get Scenario 31, with current BETA patch, you would see Japanese planes with profiled bombloads (different bombs for different missions - you would LOVE BETTYs with 800kg bombs!).
There is general reduction of ship capacities, and enlargements of support devices, so all sides need more ships to haul their troops. Japan have also slower research, and less manpower, and fuel is being produced. SNLF squads are weaker.
Allies have early deliveries of few hundred older fighter models, so beginning should be definitely tougher for Japan.
