Metric - Yeah

I like the idea of converting everything to the metric system, when the Japanese used it historically. Makes things more clear to me.

That's only true if you are not interested in high explosive. If you are interested in HE, energy has nothing to do with lethality. The British system, however, does not measure energy, since energy is a function of the weight and the square of the speed.
