What am I to play to get myself in the mood when purporting to be Japanese?
warspite1

A ball-bouncingly beautiful, but at the same time profoundly sad, melancholic track.

David Sylvian and Ryuichi Sakamoto

Ahhh the death and funeral of Siegfried, that will be used to see me out when the time comes at the crematorium!

As for game music all Wagner is good but I also enjoy some man or astro man too

Tannheuser is good even though the subject matter has nothing to do with war. Unless it is the battle of the sexes involving hand to hand 'fighting'. [:'(]

Of course, if you're thinking about moving supply into China from Burma, 'Bolero' might be appropriate.

Try Holst's The Planets, specifically Mars, the Bringer of War. Turn up the volume a bit. [:)]

Japanese singers of the time?

Here's Li Xianglan (chinese name, but japanese singer), in Yelaixiang, sung in a mixture of Japanese and Chinese
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt7QJ9_nY38

in a chinese song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BncpL0wGFlY

and there's even a song for italian JFB (Greyjoy, if you're reading this)

For a later one, but with a great voice, try this :

and this

And, even less related, when attacking Yenan, and if you know a bit about Carmen, you can watch this, featuring an outfit which might be the Eighth route army, and some Americans troops, too...

[ETA] Oh, and I forgot... even less related, but still japanese and which might suit a gorn-mind

In the last two, those bunny characters reminded me of the 'Lambchop' puppet, and my jaws were snapping trying to eat them. All that is much too nice and doesn't reflect the dastardly devious fiendishness I require to complete my evil plans. I tried buying some of the music from 'Tora! Tora! Tora!' from I tunes but forgot my PW. Every time I try to reset it I get the runaround. Nuts.

That depends on what your meaning of lose is? Mine is always open to new interpretations based upon facts which didn't precede my involvement (sez me). In my world, I always win.

It's not whether you win or loose, but if you bought the game.

Does anyone have any of that Japanese drum music? You know the GREAT, BIG monsters they use. I think an example of them is in 'Black Rain.'

Don't know if I'm the only one or just a grumpy old man but the first thing I do with any game is turn the fekking music off.

We didn't mean the game music. Everybody turns that off. For all of us the latest official patch may have Black Sabbath for all we know. [;)]
