22 JUL 1915

CP used gas first. I means that Romania and Portugal enter war sooner (if Russia survive). Germans tried took Helsinki by surprise. My garisone which should go to South front (Ottoman) had to be put in defence there. Russians South sector of european front didn't sucedded. Also moved back a liitl with my forces at Vilna.
French are ready to begun offesive.
Otomans push forward.
Italy run out of steam. (Italian AH fleet sunk)
In Serbia I'm building defence line against Bulgarians.











5 AUG 1915

Frnech strike near Strassburg. First I wanted to take hex northest from the city to gain another dirresction of attack. But my arty isn't so powerful to brake garrison.
AH arty back in russian southern sector (of the easten front). Good to see this becouse it means that there is no arty on Serbians front.
Germans start attack at northern sector of front in Russia.
Ottomans push forword and take Stavropol.








19 AUG 1915

Strike at Strassburg. At last production of the city is owned to 0. We will see what will happen.
Germans still attacking at northern sector in Russia. I don't know how long I can hold.
Attack to retake Stavropol.
Otherwise quiet.
Sorry for short entrys but I'm busy and I had a backlog. I will try to poot more detail next time (If I will have time )

2 SEP 1915.
Quiet. Allmoust no moves. I'm building my line in Serbia. Same time I'm prepareing strike to eliminate Bulgarians from war. I will attack on Belgrade from Serbia and from southern coast of Bulgaria. I have one infantry corps on it's way to take possitions.
First I will try to gain as mych hexes from which I can attack Belgrade. If therewill be a posibility I will down it's production. Next, when british arty arrive I will make an assault





16 SEP 1915

CP start to bombard french possitions at southern sector of the western front. I had to switch corps and garrison. I will make a fake attack to drag their attention.
In Russia I will retake Stavropol nex turn and try to maintain a line of defence. I have to hold for about 12 turns until Romania enter war. Portugal will be nice welcomed too

30 SEP 1915
Stavropol retaken. Nothing more to say.





14 OCT 1915
Plane have changed- I decided to attack Bulgaria before they enter war. I will try to inflict as much damage to their capital as I can before city will be entrenched. Then I will wait until British arty arrive. Also British infantry corps is ready to deplay at southern Bulgarian coast.
Same time Italians attack and mad small brake. I expect this is the end of my advance.
Same time Russians made small pressure. Otherwise quiet.

28 OCT 1915

Mostly quiet. I have to keep CP busy so small actions in France and Italy (I'm unable to make major actions). In Balkans I took Salonika with bombers to gain new sea base. And maybe fort Roupel will fall into my hands...
Also small naval battle at Galipoly- AH DD show it's presence and is still alive with 3 or 4 steps...
In Russian southern front I will loose Batumi by maybe frontline will stabilise.







11 NOV 1915
In France Germans destroyed no French corps so I have to move back to maintain line. Same time I pressure in Italy. I lunched an assault at Sofia but cit corps survived at 1 step. I have no PP to attack with Serbians so I will wait for arty and make my final strike.
Blockade at Gallipoli AH DD moved to Constantinopol





25 NOV 1915

In France I cans see that CP have problems with troops s I decided to attack. French destryed Germans garisson and attacked arty. Maybe next turn I will attack with British infantry at Brussels.
In Serbia quiet. British arty is on it's way to support positions. Also Britisgh corps moved to attack Gallipoli

Where is AH? 9 Serb units, 6 PP, Belgrade gone, how do you do it?

9 DEC 1915

In Serbia all is set. we will see what will effects on next turn.
In France I think that Germans will try to destroy my French corps at forward possitions (north from Verdun)
In Russia quiet. Germans moved back arty from Northern sector of the eastern front... I have to wait and rebuild my research because with this tech I will go nowhere...
If I will not be able to finish Bulgaria I feel that Serbia soon will be attack with heavy unstopable power.

I think all is consequences of not finishing Serbia in 1914/1915. Battlevonwar focused on Russia but it looks like he hasn't defeat them and will be unable to do it. But he forced me to sell my labs (Russians and Serbians) so in 1916 Russia will be unable to make a major offensive. Serbia is slowly dying too so my time is limited. I have to finish Bulgaria or make them unable to fight to make some progress in Italy or France. I'm thinking about Ottomans... but this is far away from any big actions...

23 DEC 1915
Sofia captured! Just before Christmas Serbians with support of BEF took Sofia. This should enable me to finish them in spring- I hop so. When Romania enter war I will be able to threaten AH front- if Bulgaria will be finished- if not I will have to send Romanians to support attack. After Bulgaria I will close way for Ottomans and if there will be a chance I will strike at Constantinople. This will be my main front unless any major progress in France or Italy.
On the western front pressure as well in Italy. I can't let CP prepare any counterattack- this will cost a lot of lives... but this can bring me victory. I have initiative now and I can't loose it.






6 JAN 1916
Still pressure wherever I can. Russia is preparing to enter new front where they can make any progress- Romania.
BVW hide his arty so I'm afraid CP can strike in Serbia...




20 JAN 1916

Nothing special. Fights in Serbia, Italy and France.




3 FEB 1916
Small progress in Italy (risky move). In Serbia AH fall back so Serbians/Italians/ British advance.

17 FEB 1916

Romania under attacked!!! CP has gathered troops and launched surprise attack on unexpecting Romanians! Bucharest has been lost! I'm prepareing my forces to defend and counterattack. I'm trying to save infantry corps near Bucharest but I don't think it will survive. At last brave Romanians stop fast advance for one turn. We will se nex tur what will BVW do- if he will strike into Russia territory I will try to make a offensive at Belgrade.
In France I have destroyed one garrison and attacked AH arty reducing it to 5 steps and forceing to retreat. main forces are near Liege so I have a chance to make some confusion...
Russia is ready to counterattack on southern part of Romanian front. Two garrisons enter next turn.

Russian NM at 63%, No revolution, EXCELLENT!

2 MAR 1916

Sorry but I don't remember casulties for both sides- there is a lot of action in Romania. I remember that I have killed Germans corps. I have lost only Romanian garrison.
The plan is to attack at Temeschburg while CP will try to capture Iasi. Same time I must stop Ottomans comeing from the south.







16 MAR 1916
Heavy fights. CP took Iasi but Russians retook it after bloody fights. Germans cavalry corps destroyed. I have made a push west from Bucharest Germans infantry corps destryed there).

13 APR to 31 AUG 1916


France. I was quiet here for some time to gather ammo and launch an offensive. It has begun on 20 JUL 1916 with first "fake" bombardment to drag CP atention to other sector of the front. Real attack will go in Strassburg- Stuttgart direction. During attack French forces made heavy damage on both Germans and AH arty. It looks like front line has been finally broken but I feel I'm running out of steam. Good thing is that Germans reinfrcments enter with 8 efectivness...







Russia. Northern sector of the eastern fron is quiet. Allmoust no movesf at both sides. I gather reinforcements fromm ther (corpses) to aid in fight at southern sector. I was feeling so good there that I have launch counterattack into Romania- this was a bad choice. CP defeat my strike force and force me to retreat. Same time Ottomans mad some progress.













Serbia. After bloody fights CP finally force Entente to withdraw to new positions. I'm at the stage I can't go back any more. My sucess in thi sector turn into small defeat as in Russia.












Italy.
Mostly quiet with some diversion actions. For now there is no chance for any progress- I think.

14 SEP 1916

In Serbia Entente forces had to regroup. One British corps will be destroy. If CP will pressure there I don't know how long I will survive.
In western front French offensive continue. But this turn there were no major sucesses. Some battles- Stuttgart under attack- production downed by half. I have to regroup infantry and arty to make another strong push. I hop Germans doesn't have enough forces to counterattack. At last they have to move army from other fronts- this can save Serbia.
In Russia small counterattack oat advancing CP forces.
British fleet moved to intercept convoys from Norway.

Any opinion about game balance after changing Russian Revolutions condition will be welcome. What do you think about Russia surviving so long?

It certainly changes the game from being a lopsided CP grinder. How, a Novice player would react, might take some doing.. Pessimism, seems to describe the Entente side of the match. Meaning; Entente, has it's work cut out for him/them, not as "bleak" as laid out for them, in the stock rules.

28 SEP 1916 to 9 NOV 1916

Western offensive in progress. I have made huge error taking Frankfurt. I wasn't careful and I let CP force to cut my spearhead.

There is complete quiet. Frome time to time Entente or CP withdraw a unit from there which is replaced with garrison. That's all. Nothing to report...

Portugueses saved in France.

It's looks like CP can maintain new defence line. I will have to make a small pause in offensive actions for winter time.
Russians try what they can to stop pressure...






21 DEC 1916

I'm trying to use situation. Trento captured, Liege allmoust... I don't want to attack near Stuttgart- French will rest and prepare for spring offensive. I will don't save ammo. I'll try to pressure at western front.
In Serbia British counterattack destroyed Germans corps.

Quiet at the western front. Only small firefights except french tank assault on AH arty. BVW brought his arty from Russia to this front.
French and British preparing new offensive in the northern sector of western front. I will try to take Brussels, Liege and Ruhr.
In Serbia CP still pressure with their arty.
In Russia only small fights.
