I will try that and report back later. What scenario or was it a sandbox scenario, you were playing? If so would you share it?

But does the sim when you have hi fidelity mode on..does it run slower than a second? ive had game seconds sometimes last 2 or more real time seconds while having hi fi mode on? And are there any performance tweaks coming in the form of patches that will make hi fi mode run better?
ORIGINAL: ExMachina
Id like to know if having the "hi-fidelity mode" unchecked is making a difference. I haven't used "hi fi" mode since they gave us the option to, but is 1:1 mode without "hi-fi" screwing up calculations also?

I ran those tests on a user-submitted save file and I found that hi fi settings at 1sec compression repeatedly gave drastically different combat resolution results than any of the non-hi-fi time compression settings (including 1sec compression w/ hi-fi turned off).
Yes, I too continue to be impressed!!!

If you are getting --WINCHESTER-- try just running the scenario a bit. I've found that you sometimes need to just let the game's engine 'tick' once to get quite a few features to appear. Things like ground units with sensors on component vehicles; the sensors do not show up in the "Sensors" list till you let the game 'tick'. Just something to be aware of when making a scenario.

This was in the scenario editor.

for me, all i did was create an airbase using the import feature, added some aircraft...then picked a loadout for them. It let me click the red scenedit load button, but right after that, the planes all went winchester. and starting the clock on the sim didnt help either. i actually told them to take off, and they did, and immediately turned around and landed.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you now SSN. I _did_ get it to work once, loading some sidewinders onto f16s at a base I imported. Now I can't seem to get it to work.

I see what the issue is. If there is no weapons record entry in the magazine its reports it goes Winchester. Logging this for D to fix.

For now just add the weapons records and you should be able to go unlimited with them.

Thank you for adding the "unlimited aircraft ordinance" option! It's a great thing :) But, it illustrates what I've commented on before with regards to adding new features before what already is works correctly. I know you'll do what you want, it's your game, but I warn again about adding new features until the UI/Player control and AI/Mission editor issues are fully developed first.

They have said the advanced mission editor is in the pipeline, and they have added hyperlinks to the DB..which for me was one of the biggies with the UI

Yeah, I love the database links too! But, I don't consider that a new feature. It's continued development of the UI (which makes me happy [:)]). New features like the "unlimited aircraft ordinance" as great as I think they are = new bugs, things that don't work, and risks breaking things that already work. At the very least it takes focus off the solidifying of the game's base (the UI/player control and AI/Mission editor development, which are in their infancy and the Achilles tendon of Command).

I would suggest additional links to the database from the Sensor and Weapon button windows too.

Thanks for picking this up. there was indeed a tiny fault that prevented this from working reliably. Fixed in Build 452.

No Problem Sunburn! I am absolutely in love with this sim and i believe that this sim has the potential to be one of the best simulations ever. Its just a tiny bit rough right now, but luckily has a great support team.

hi! can this bug please be fixed with the next build/update?
re: all radars going active as soon as one brings up the mission editor - it happens automatically and before one has even assigned units, there is no reason i can see for this to happen and can compromise ones whole plan in a scenario

The startup DOES seem quite a bit faster. I haven't reverted or timed it to check for sure but on my MacBook Pro with Parallels Desktop and W7 I'd say it seems almost twice as fast to get to the load scenario screen. (just a subjective evaluation).

Is there an ETA on the next beta build? I see all the threads with fixed comments in them and just wondering when we/I can have at them.
