Good little game. The first try, and my F-4 were getting smoked by F-86's! I would fire off the Stingers and knock a couple down but then once I got within Sidewinder range I needed a rear aspect shot, and had no guns so the Super Sabres just turned and turned and finally got inside my manoeuvrability and shot down F-4s at a rate of 1-1 or better - ouch! So I re-started and kept most of the F-4 on the deck, had one or two up and used them as Sabre bait to lure them over the CLG 6 Providence (Flack Trap) which fired off over half of its Terrier's to knock down about 7 or 8 F-86 and some of the Mirage's. then once the A-6 & A-7s were ready used all my phantoms to escort them in with a priority target of the A/C parking areas and cleaned them up (along with another 6 Mirage's and some Hunter's on the ground). Had to re-build for a 2nd Alpha strike to take out the remainder of the Fuel farm but at least air superiority was secure.
Good game. The Soviet AGI surprised me but my DD peeled off far enough to sink it quickly once the guns could bear. Didn't get a solid sub contact but the SSN Skipjack and the DASH were playing tag with one or maybe two of them most of the game.
I might suggest that the buildings you wish to consider Civilian be placed on an 'allied' side and have negative points triggered by their destruction. They are named school and hotel etc but this would make them more distinct.
Good fun

I played a little bit. I also agreed that the Red enemy school hospital etc might be confusing. I'd make them part of neutral side.
I thought that air to air loadouts wouldnt take long so i reloaded all "light" F-4 loadouts to heavy (why would they be light if they are going to expect hostile action?) but it actually took 4 hours. oops!
Put up an E-2 and of course detected incoming fast mover. Crap! No F-4s launchable lol. So I launched two RF-8s who IDed it and tried to gun, didnt work, but i denied the Mirage a shot and dragged it into the Providence's range and a whole bunch of Terriers took care of it and follow on enemy planes (no more VID, fast and originating from enemy territory was good enough for me at that point.
Sent a ten F-4 sweep that took down a bunch of Sabres and Mirages but the Sparrows really have low PK holy crap. And i couldnt get a single AIM-9 to be of use. Probably because of the thick clouds?
Anyway then i decided to launch my massive strike in several groups, but i got issues with some jets not launching right and trying to reload for 6 hours which pissed me off and so i logged off and stopped playing. Not the scenarios fault but I got angry haha
All in all I was having fun though, looks like a solid scenario.

Good idea, although I just made them neutrals. You don't lose points for hitting them, but they are part of the "if you blow them up, you will face a Board of Inquiry" message. Less chance of messing up something in the Event Editor that way.
The new version has been uploaded...it replaces the older download in the first posting in the thread.
Thanks.

Neutrals works for me. The scenario makes you realy deconstruct the enemy objective and take it apart piece by piece. Good work.
Tomcat - I had some issues as well - an A-6 was stuck on the Elevator for 6 hrs or so until I launched some of its buddies and an F-4 got stuck in the landing pattern for a couple hours and ran out of fuel - considered him a deck crash [:D]

Great scen, but you should consider a small change:
Let the Peruvian Air Force stick to its patrol area!
(uncheck "investigate contacts outside patrol area")
If I were the Peruvian Air Force and up against the US Navy, would I venture out over the far pacific in ones and twos?
So they stay in front of the target objective and offer a credible defense against your alpha strike.
Also, why not a few more ships?
