I have an ASW-variant LCS scenario almost ready to go. Just need to find the time to polish it off.

Keep it simple, replace the 57 mm. mount with the latest version of the OTO-Melara 76/62, which was the original intention anyway. Designing a better LCS is a waste of time. The whole concept of building multimission platforms by plugging in different modules just to save money is flawed and has never worked. You'll get better results cheaper by buying more Arleigh Burke DDGs, suitably updated.

I think most agree a suitable ASuW should be number 1 priority. The Griffin is being proposed and sure it could work well on small boats and what not, but with its limited range it does make the ship vulnerable to other Anti Ship platforms. The U.S. Navy in general right now seems to be lacking a serious dedication to Anti Shipping work with its ships. Newest Burke's don't even have Harpoons on them and now we're gonna have to fill up VLS with LRASM or a New Tomahawk which means less Standard Missiles and less Land Attack Tomahawks, though less TLAM's you can probably get away with.........imagine a Ohio SSGN with 154 LRASM by the way....just imagine the horror of an enemy.
