And this is part of the problem.

Well, the gaming tin now stands at £12. This means there are only 178 weeks to go before my quest for world domination begins.
Sadly, my attempt to enslave the known universe may be cut short. I have contracted a life-threating virus that is running rampant through my body and I am slipping away fast. Barely have enough strength to type these few words. I think I might have one more Lemsip, open yet another box of tissues, and retire to bed. It is doubtful if I will survive the night....

Dear Mrs Warspite1,
Thank you for your tender concern over my tragic condition.
As I am sure Mr W can tell you, if you manage to drag him away from the computer, while female-type women people of the opposite sex have nothing worse than a slight snuffle, the male of species has to suffer the most appalling consequences of the this devastating virus.
Managing to survive the night despite being wracked by fever, hacked by a rasping cough, general wheezing, and frequent sneezing, I have reemerged this day as a mere shadow of my former self despite the application of superior will power as befits any would be conquerer of the world.
I am sure this news will be of great comfort to you.

The biggest problem I have found in attempting world conquest is a lack of minions. Your recovery and lack of funds could all be resolved if you had just one or two minions in your service.
I should also point out to those people that are not familiar with minions is that spouses and/or children, while many think they are a good substitute for a minion, they are definately not. Matter of fact, once you have a spouse and/or children, finding minions is almost impossible [:(]
So by staying single, shunwick is at least improving his chances (although still very small since minions tend to be attracted to fame and fortune which I assume he has none of either) of attaining one. I wish you the best in your endevors.

Not sure that your analysis is totally correct. While it is certainly true that evil minions are top of the wanted list, it should be remembered that Herr Hitler had neither fame nor fortune and yet attracted evil minions by the score. Comrade Stalin gives another example.
When the time comes, I plan to place an add in the local press.

I totally agree. I had minions at one point as well, but sadly due to economic misfortune, I lost them. It seems once you have them and lose them it is fiendishly hard to attract them back [:(]

I am sadly noticing the effects of your quest. The weapon that you have unleashed is a serious threat to me and my staff. Our lives seem forfeit as is our resistance you your empire. All might not be over if the biological hazard team manage to find a cure but at this point it seems like a unlikely outcome since they seem affected as well.
Perhaps it is all for the best since I prefer to go down sobbing rather than being enslaved by shunwick and his minions.
